A snippet from my first Big band composition called Delusion, that we played with the KUG Jazz Orchesta on the composers concert. And a blasting solo from @_lenart_ 🔥 🎥 @fify4music

I have struggled to write a song I can be proud of for years.

Nothing was ever good enough, clever enough. I would show it to people and immediately see through their feigned interest (even when it wasn't feigned). But something happened the day this poem flew onto paper. My very own little jeux d'esprit. Sometimes when an experience is so powerful, you suddenly find a part of you that you never knew was there, and the rest happens on its own.

"Soft" had a couple of different lives before this band of infinitely talented women were involved. Evelina on the synth, Alana on the flute, and that night Ipek was killing it on the drums, and out of a simple little jam, my firstborn found her sound. I thank the universe every day that I got it on my voice recorder. And that I am lucky enough to be in a band with people I can completely trust to make my ideas better and adorn them perfectly. As they say, "If you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room".

Thank you to my spectacular @planetyoni gals

Full disclosure, this is a Kaya Meller appreciation reel 🎺 @meller_km

These are some of the most talented instrumentalists in this city, and if you think we're bragging, feel free to come see for yourself at our next gig (to be announced)

Last week I had the chance to get my first big band arrangement (ca. 2020) played for the first time.
.
I am very grateful with the KUG Jazz Orchestra for the nice playing in short notice (and with some non-experienced-arranger-writing-mistakes).
.
Also big words of thanks to @johannesberauer , one of the great artists we have in Austria, maybe one of the most dedicated teachers I ever have, who encouraged me to write for large ensembles. And of course to @partyka_ed , my mentor in the last couple of years who helped my pulishing the arrangement in the last days.
