A quick minimalist botanical study this morning while sipping on my coffee really helped me get out of a rut . I just needed to paint and meditate . I honestly can not go more than two days without making something with my hands or else I feel like my soul is dying . Even if it’s simple and nothing that is leaving my studio or sketch book.

Happy National daughter day to my ray of Sunshine 🌞 I could never put into words to convey how proud I am of the woman you are and continue to become . You ended up exactly the pure MAGIC I saw in you when you were born and the spark and bright light you were at 4 years old … and you became all that I knew you would be …and so much more , a soul full of universal love and cosmic wonder and wise beyond this human experience … you are the epitome of cosmic ‘light and love’ …the most loving empathetic kind thoughtful selfless soul towards every living things on the planet and beyond .
. I am so grateful for our soul bond … and I am so deeply honored to be your mom in this lifetime .. and I forever Cherish our mother daughter relationship AND our beautiful adult friendship . You are my best friend not just my amazing daughter.
Just pure light that shines so bright .

I grew up reading these books … this was my life this …was my father’s way .. grateful . There is so much more mostly of nerdy science and nature and metaphysics …. Someday I’ll a room with the walls lined of filled bookshelf’s and records and art …. And it will tell a story of my life more that words could convey … and read me like a book.

IN the name of WILD HORSES …well because …you know … and if you don’t you should .
This artwork is not for sale and has exclusive licensing rights and signed to an agency however as the artist I am posting as a message. Wild horses are meant to be wild . Nature is wild and the humans that try to control it with vi0l€n{e and ill intent are foolish and naive.

A Recap of Everything I made last week with my human hands using Cyanotype & Sun-printing process and Hand-painting . This put be back outdoors mixing the two things I love most Art & Nature , basking in the sun interacting with Fluers and Botanicals and just doing what I love most : using my human hands to create … swipe to see all of the wearables and home art . I thought it would be fun to display it all in a 90’s style look book zines that brings me back to graphic design school in the late 90s when this is how I literally had to lay out all of my assets for magazine spreads in prepress at my first industry big girl job at a printing company ✨

Sun printing day - project number ONE from this series

I cut flowers straight from my garden and made a handful of these prints using Jaqaurd’s cyanotype process, mixing my two favorite things: nature and art. A few of them I arranged carefully, petal by petal, chasing a “perfect” composition.

But the one I ended up framing? It’s the one I didn’t overthink. I let the flowers fall where they wanted, painted the chemistry on loose and fast, and left every streak instead of smoothing it out.

Funny how the piece I spent the least time controlling is the one that feels the most me. Maybe that’s the real lesson sun printing keeps teaching me: some of the best work happens when you stop trying to get it right.

What’s your creative process like when you let go and let it flow?

A little precursor teaser of one of the DIY Cyanotype/Sun printing projects for next weeks mini series .. I decided to start a new mini series online every week on something I’m either teaching in workshops currently or working on in projects... Cyanotype and Sun printing is a popular creative workshop/class that I offer and teach every spring/summer/fall ...and everyone is always looking for ideas or wondering how I use this method for different kinds of projects. ITs two of my most favorite things ART & NATURE.
It’s one of my favorite methods to play with and the possibilities are endless. So next week I am going to show different ways to utilize this method not only for different project ideas but I am going to talk about how & what I do to monetize it in my business.
I loved how this one came out and I’ll be showing the entire process and talking about what I plan to do with it .
SEE YOU SUNDAY !
