Good Neighbour Books and Manifold Books are happy to be partnering up once again and participating in the @singaporeartbookfair this year.
We will be presenting our most recent collaborations, publications, and books with artistic interventions from 28 to 30 August, every day from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This year, the fair takes place at T:>Works, 72-13 Mohamed Sultan Road, Singapore.
For this year’s fair catalogue, we were invited to create a design using page 37 of Goldilocks. This will be available during the fair, together with the other pages designed by the participating publishers. We decided to pair the page 37 template with a foldable reading list designed by Jomel Yong for The Sphinx’s Riddle, Manifold Books’ year-long programme of exhibitions and reading events around grief and transformation.
For this post, we wanted to extend that gesture by sharing the same backdrop to present to you a selection of collaborations between Good Neighbour Books and Manifold Books from the last few years.

[ hearth ] Step inside “About Bloody Times”, where honest, unfiltered reflections on the female experience take centre stage. This bold and intimate installation transforms Art Outreach into a space of quiet confrontation—where soft lighting and warm textures meet visceral depictions of blood, pain, and memory. From sculptures to immersive assemblages, the works draw on deeply personal materials and stories to evoke solidarity and shared experience. Featuring works by Nurul Atiqah Zaidi, Cheryl Yip, Duae Aurae, Hannah Dale, and Jomel, the show explores themes often left unspoken—menstruation, endometriosis, trauma, grief, and the enduring expectation that women should suffer in silence. Yet within these stories of vulnerability lie strength, care, and the reclaiming of voice. This is a show that demands to be seen—and felt. We hope you’ll step into the space, sit with the stories, and join the conversation. 🔗 Link in bio for more information. - About Bloody Times Nurul Atiqah Zaidi, Cheryl Yip, Duae Aurae, Hannah Dale, and Jomel Curated by Of Limits Collective 18 — 27 April 2025, 11am to 7pm Art Outreach, 5 Lock Road, #01-06, Gillman Barracks, Singapore 108933 Advisory: Mature Content This exhibition includes artworks that depict nudity and explore intimate aspects of the female experience. Meet Jomel Jomel is a SOTA graduate, currently studying at Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. Her multidisciplinary practice spans installation, sculpture, and writing, exploring themes of victimhood, madness, and gender-based violence. Blending internet culture with religious and philosophical texts, she creates layered visual compositions that challenge harmful tropes about women in contemporary society. 'seed::scar' explores the persistent fear and suspicion projected onto the female body, drawing a line between historical witch hunts and damaging ideas that still persist today. Drawing from both Southeast Asian heritage and Western narratives, Jomel revisits the construct of hysteria—once believed to stem from a “wandering womb”—and examines how it became both a medical diagnosis and a cultural weapon against women. The artwork reclaims the womb as a site of power and renewal, long vilified and misunderstood. Symbols within the piece evoke this tension: feathers suggest both a yearning for freedom and the absurd logic of witch trials, where women were condemned if they floated rather than drowned. The pomegranate stands for fertility and life, while ink—dark, fluid, and elusive—embodies what remains unspoken. The Joker, a figure of chaos and defiance, weaves through the composition, mocking societal norms and the hysteria label itself. Her artwork challenges the enduring myth of the female body as dangerous, turning fear into resistance. Jomel 'seed::scar', 2023 Digital print on fabric
