summer is OVER, but it was a season of whimsy and making!!!!

went to flip table hosted by @m.arcos.h and won “MOST CURSED”, joined trey on his walk from the tippy top to the tippy bottom, did a LOT of jailbreaking, read on the beach, hosted the fifth mindswap at hex house, reunited with friends in the PNW, ate a REALLY fucking good peach, met tuna, attended HOPE with a bunch of friends, was a newsstand assistant for a day @w4newsstand , collaborated with my awesome mentor @leetusman on L5, LOTS of food and creatures, and made a tapestry for my new desk @hexh0use

Just published on @the.pudding , a new project by Jasmine Nackash @ja__beta (ITP ‘25)! 📙📖

For “From ‘Goat’ to ‘Despite’: How the Words We Teach English Language Learners Changed, and What That Says About Us,” Jasmine examined the differences between two lists of “essential English vocabulary” for learners, published 70 years apart, and what they may reveal about our society.

Through it, the lists reflect a life that moved further from its own making; a world that has become more connected, more capable, and able to reach much further than before, but not without leaving some things behind.” - Jasmine Nackash

Outlandish Lullaby
NIME 2026 / alt.NIME
Installation + Performance

I installed and performed Outlandish Lullaby at NIME 2026 as part of the first alt.NIME track.

This work began from the comfort I found in sounds I could not fully understand: Buddhist chanting from childhood, multilingual conversations in New York, and voices that stay close even when meaning remains distant.

At NIME conference, the piece became a listening environment where incomprehension was not something to solve, but something to stay with.

So much gratitude to @riosriosyeah and @itp_nyu , who helped this work find its shape.

Thank you to Jinnie, Sao, Nasif, Jasmine, and Proud for becoming the voices of the work.

Made a lil project about words. Well, about a couple thousand very specific words, and what they may say about us.

Currently on display at the Clive Davis Gallery (370 Jay st, Brooklyn) through June 12 – Come check it out if you’re in the area!

The show includes a visual essay that breaks down what I think are some interesting findings…
A publicly available online version will be published very soon, too, so stay tuned!

the past two years at @itp_nyu galloped by; i knew going in that it would be over before it began, but it turns out you can’t pre-feel your way through anything, and i’m so, so glad i got to be here for the time that i was.

(i’m also glad my body waited to get dramatically sick until after thesis presentations and the final showcase, although i am left with an as-yet unworn purple polyester gown)

this is a see-you-later, not a goodbye, not least because i’ll be working at @itpcamp again starting in a couple weeks. but the specificity of these two years, and especially this cohort of people, can’t be replicated. how lovely is it to have something like this to miss?

It was an absolute delight to welcome 250+ people into @theblanc_ny , where @uaad.art presented Attention//Distraction, an exhibition inviting viewers to re-examine how our attention is engineered and mediated, and how artists might use distraction as a strategy to redirect our gaze.

Over the course of the exhibition, we witnessed people spending 4+ hours in the gallery, returning two days in a row, or arriving hesitant to touch anything for fear of breaking something, only to eventually immerse themselves completely in the pieces and interactions around them.

The conversations, curiosity, vulnerability, playfulness, and generosity that emerged in the space reminded us that attention is not only something being extracted from us, but also something we can consciously offer to one another.

We are deeply grateful to all the incredible artists who trusted us with their works and visions, and to everyone who spent time with us in the space.

Special thanks to @theblanc_ny ‘s huge support for this exhibition and helping make it possible.

Up now at @all.st.nyc: a group show produced by and featuring the work of ITP community members.

Perimeter is an exhibit that examines how perimeters can become instruments useful for creating taxonomies of the world. Some pieces show that the in-and-out is bridged and made permeable, while others reaffirm the perimeter as a necessary component of political work. Together, the artists probe the political, emotional, and environmental realities forged by this tool of demarcation.
