@alexandriaboychuk Thank you so much for travelling all the way from Canada to get tattooed by me! 🇨🇦

First piece done with @modern_tattoo_ink Greywash Set

Now we wait for the healed results

But I have to say the ink flow is great, super smooth, effortless application and next-level comfort while working.

So far, I'm seriously impressed @jackierubino

80 inks. 10 families. 9 tiers. This is the MODERN INK COLOR MAP.

Over a decade ago, I designed the Abbott Color Wheel, trying to make sense of 250+ colors that were created without a plan. I carried what I learned through the next ten years of tattooing, but I always wanted the chance to build a palette from the ground up.

Then I landed in the right place at the right time. Lou and Jackie Rubino put their trust in me, and pigment chemist Chris Coleman opened up the world of tattoo ink in a way I had never experienced.

The result is a simple system with names that make sense. You don’t have to memorize a bunch of random words to understand the palette. Plan color gradients that modulate through hue, value, and chroma with ease. The pigments inside are clearly labeled and we’ll tell you if we used one that is more likely to fade in the sun.

This is a teaser. We’re still finalizing the colors, so the map will shift a little before the January website launch. Comment ‘CORE’ to be first to hear about our introductory offer.

A huge thank you to our EU artist community for the incredible support. We know the question on everyone’s mind is REACH compliance, so let us be clear: Modern Tattoo Ink will offer REACH-compliant inks. You’ve stood with us over the years, and we’re proud to stand with you. ❤️ Lou & Jackie Rubino

“Working with Lou & Jackie Rubino has always been more than just business.... it’s always felt like family. They have always believed in putting artists first and creating products of the highest quality. That’s something I’ve always respected about them.
I’m incredibly excited to be working with Lou and Jackie once again and to be part of this exciting new chapter with Modern Ink. I’ve been testing the products, and I can’t wait to share what we’ve been creating together.
Sometimes a new beginning feels like coming home.”

We’ve been quiet. We’ve been busy. Something big is coming.

We’ve spent years in this industry, and now we’re building something new for the artists who keep it alive.
Made for the artists who don’t settle. The next era of ink starts here.

Modern Tattoo Ink is almost here. Comment CORE for early access and insider launch info. 🖤
