At 15, @jacob_hora was riding his bike to school every day. At 16, he was in Kyrgyzstan racing the 12,000-mile Silk Road Mountain Race with his mentor and ultra-endurance legend Jay Petervary. A year later, he was riding solo across Armenia with a bad case of trench foot. It’s safe to say that Jacob didn’t have a standard high school experience. Now a senior at Fort Lewis College, he juggles classes with events like the Tour Divide and the Colorado Trail Race. All time Durango Summer 🧘‍♂️
13
Starting my last semester of college in just a few weeks, so just trying to make the most of the rest of summer. I’ve been really stoked on riding my bike and all of the new places it has taken me. Been putting a lot of time into training as well as my job, which has been quite rewarding.

I love this place I get to call home and the places I’ve gotten to explore, as well as the friends I’ve made along the way. While I don’t yet know what’s next, one thing is clear….Durango feels like home and I’m not yet ready to leave.

Looking forward to more fun rides and times with great people!

Highlights from a few solid weeks of training. It’s been just over a year since I catapulted myself over a mountain and hit my head, so I’m feeling extra grateful for these recent adventures.

I’m really excited to test how my fitness has been coming along this weekend at the @focofondo. 118 miles of full gas racing will let me know right where the legs are at.
