Last Sunday I competed at the @wm_powerlifting Autumn cup where I went 8/9 with a 605 Kg total.

Big congrats to everyone who competed.

Thanks to all my friends and family for support on the day and throughout prep.

I have wanted this for a very long time. 3/3 on lifetime goals I set myself many years ago. Ups and downs, covid, injuries… all for this moment.
…and now all I can think is “what’s next?”

Huge shout out to @jacoblifts_ for the spot.
The team at @strom_performancecentre really is an elite bunch. I have seen everyone who trains there put the work in and improve over the year or so I have trained there full time.

Another incredibly big shout out to @devan.coyne who trained later than normal to be there for this.

And without doubt @heathersuniverse_ the women who supports me and encourages me through all this. I know when we got together 12 years ago she didn’t envision me spending 12-16 hours a week in the gym, but she has only ever pushed me to be better. I love you so much!

Coached by @reecefullwood - tailor made plans specific to each lifter, and I’m yet to not hit a number he has prescribed in over 2 years. Man’s a wizard!

So what’s next coach?

Here’s to being almost 30kg lighter than these photos in the last 6 years! And yet still more to go 🙏🏼

Training has very much changed for me recently- more about building healthy habits, improving cardio, still strength training whilst dropping the body fat- And feeling much better for it! Seen a big improvement on mobility, joint health and lipoedema.
Thankful for the support from my coach @jacoblifts_ throughout all of this 🙏🏼

Not particularly what was planned but was still a positive outcome. What a day tho. A few negatives but a lot of positives. With my back flaring up literally minutes before my first attempt on squat I knew it’d limit how many kilos I could add on to my total, but the positive was I added kilos onto my total regardless of my back making it difficult to do so. 7.5kg comp pb with more kilos to add onto each lift hopefully 🤞. A 560kg total at 104.1kg bw. I want to thank @ivandcruz for prepping me for this comp. I also want to thank @jacoblifts_ for handling me on the day and helping me pick the most suitable attempts considering the cards I was dealt. And also @coach_carlos_epdp for making possible for me to compete and all the support. I really appreciate all the support from everyone wishing me luck and congratulating me even though it wasn’t my best possible performance. Let’s hope there’s a lot more kilos to add to bring the best out of me in the future. There will be another post coming very soon with better clips hopefully as soon as tomorrow 😉#sbd #squat #bench
