The afterburners were ignited to secure Bronze at the ICF Canoe marathon World Championships.

@jade.wilson.__ and @georgia._.singe made a formidable duo in the Senior Women K2 Long Course in Gualeguaychú, Argentina. Pushing from the start to solidify their position among the front group the ladies worked well together and kept pace as slowly boats started to fall out the lead group. Just missing an attack into the portage on the sixth lap where two boats(Spain and Hungary) - eventual Gold and Silver would get away.

Team South Africa stay composed in the fight for Bronze with another Spainish boat. It was the final portage section that the ladies pushed hard on the run, had a good put in and opened a gap. Rounding the top mark for the last time, the pairing threw in the final blow streaking ahead to ensure they would be standing on the podium!

Jade, having finished fourth in the K2 for the previous two years finally gets to add another medal to her tally. For Georgia, this is her first year as a Senior and an incredible accomplishment to gain a medal on her first outing - a year of Bronze for Georgia who also finished third in the u23 Women K1 Short Course on Friday.

A hard fought Silver medal at ICF Open Ocean Racing World Championships!

@jade.wilson.__ along with her SS2 Mixed Doubles partner Hank MacGregor where locked in a tight four boat battle where mere seconds separated them after 20 kilometres of racing. After one hour and seven minutes of racing it was just ten seconds that separated the podium places with Jade and Hank painstakingly close to the title which was won by the Australians.

This is redemption for Jade who narrowly missed out yesterday in the Open Women’s SS1 in a sprint finish where she was just beaten into fourth. The silver medal will be added to her growing tally of World Championship podium medals across the various disciplines of paddling including her u23 Open Ocean Racing World Title SS1 in 2021.

No off days, Jade now makes her way to Argentina, switching crafts and preparing for the Canoe Marathon World Championships in two weeks time.
