𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦 𝘍𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 by Jade Lee Wright
Release Date: October 22, 2026
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Having read 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘯 𝘛𝘸𝘪𝘯, I knew I was in for a wild ride, but this one still managed to surprise me! 🤯

Looking for a fresh start after the loss of her husband, Tilly accepts a nanny position at a remote farmhouse. From the start, things feel off. Then she wakes up after an injury to discover that a year has passed, and the single father she's working for tells her she's now his fiancée. 👀

This was an entertaining read from the start! I especially enjoyed the creepy but cozy Christmas atmosphere, and a snowed-in setting is always a plus for me. Tilly was a very likable main character, and I thought the themes of loss and grief were handled thoughtfully and added some depth to the story.

If you like unhinged plot points and twists that will give you whiplash, this one is for you!

💬 Are you a fan of snowed-in settings in thrillers? ❄️🔪

💌 Thank you @netgalley and the publisher for the advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Happy Publication Day to The Single Father!
I read this in just a couple of hours one Sunday afternoon. A psychological thriller full of deception, narcissism, and isolation, where nothing is quite as it seems, and no one can be trusted. Jade Lee Wright even had me questioning what I knew and the twisty ending came completely out of nowhere.
I was left with a really creeped out feeling, and all I can think is how many other nannies have there been?!
Thank you to @zooloosbooktours, @jadeleewrightauthor, and @joffebooks for having me on the tour!

❤️OUT TODAY❤️
I came to look after his children. Now he says I’m his fiancée.

When I see the advert, I tell myself it’s the fresh start I need. Live-in nanny. A single father. Two young children. A remote farmhouse deep in the Peak District, far from everything I’ve lost.

My new employer Edward seems nice. He tries hard to be a good dad. The children warm to me. For the first time since my partner died, I begin to feel useful.

Then the snow comes. The roads close. The internet goes down.

And I wake with an injured ankle, a bandage around my head . . . and no memory of what happened.

Edward says I fell while we were hiking. He says the concussion has damaged my memory. He says I haven’t just arrived at his house.

I’ve been living here for months.

There’s an engagement ring on my finger. Photographs I don’t remember taking. And everyone in the house behaves as though Edward is telling the truth.

But I know who I am. So why does he think I belong to him?
