Ever seen a temple carved straight into a cliff? ⛰️ The Yungang Grottoes near Datong are home to thousands of Buddhist statues, some of them dating back more than 1,500 years. From huge Buddha figures to tiny details carved into the stone, there’s something new to discover around every corner. Definitely one for the China itinerary. 🇨🇳 📹 @jadewander56 Client: China #bzcomm #china #explorechina #visitchina #reiselandchina

No front rows, no industry insiders or fashion week calendar. Just mountains, rice fields, and generations of craft walking into the light. This video was filmed during the Yi Torch Festival in Yuexi County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan, China, one of the most important cultural gatherings in Yi community life. Fire, harvest, ancestral memory, and community, all in one celebration. And then someone built a runway through it. The show blends Yi-inspired embroidery, silver ornament, sculptural headwear, and traditional silhouettes with contemporary fashion, not as costume, but as living culture. Because Yi clothing is not uniform. It varies between communities. It evolves. It breathes. And young designers from these communities are finding new ways to carry it forward without leaving it behind. Behind these clothes are the mountains and fields of Yuexi. Generations of craftsmanship. And the radical, act of saying our heritage does not need a Parisian address to matter to the world. Would you travel to Liangshan for the Torch Festival? 🎥 Via @jadewander56 #fablstylemagazine #yiculture #torchfestival #liangshan
