Proof that I have the best support team in the business…

These three legends are some of the most meaningful men in my life, and the fact that they showed up for me at the exhibition meant more than I can properly put into words.

They’re the kind of friends who celebrate you loudly, stand by you quietly, and somehow still find time to be wildly successful in what they do and ridiculously talented in their own right - music, writing, cooking and so much more... I’m starting to feel like I need to up my game just to keep up. Thank you so much for showing up, for cheering me on, and for being the kind of humans that make my life richer, funnier, and far more meaningful.

My thanks also goes to my wonderful daughter for capturing the moment, and to my loving husband, who understands and gracefully accepts that he is not the only man in my life😁

Traveling, much like life, rarely goes exactly as planned. It's not always smooth sailing—and that’s where the real adventure begins.

Just 48 hours before our flight, we were notified: no flight. With hotel bookings confirmed and sightseeing planned, everything was suddenly up in the air. We ended up on different flights, uncertain if we’d even arrive at our destination together.

From KLM to Kenya and somehow reuniting on an Emirates flight—it was, as my husband wisely said, “Just trust, it will all work out in the end.”

The real test comes when the storm hits. That moment where you can panic or pause. You weigh your options, take a deep breath, and keep moving forward. Falling apart brings no progress. Calm brings clarity.

As I sit in Dubai airport, reflecting, I realise how much my resilience has grown over the years. I also see—clearly—how strong our partnership is. We rely on each other’s strengths. We are two individuals, yet one team. My husband, my rock. And sometimes, one of us needs to step up, take charge, and tackle the bull by the horns.

Grateful we get to travel this world—together.
Here’s to the start of another great adventure. 🌍✈️💪

What an incredible ride! 🚴‍♀️ I just completed the Meals on Wheels 107 km race at the stunning Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve near Heidelberg, and I’m beyond proud. 🌟

This year started tough with burnout, forcing me to step back and reevaluate how I approached my training. I shifted from long-distance running to cycling, yoga, and stretching—and today’s race felt like a true victory. 💪

No matter how far you feel from your fitness goals, remember: you can always get back in the saddle! This ride was my after-birthday gift to myself, and I’m so grateful for the journey. 🎉
A Big thankyou for my husband @Jacques Botha and frend Salomeveeden for your ongoing support of my dreams and on this very hot day.

A bit of feedback if you wonder what you will experience if you sign up for a" Nourish and flourish" cooking class or workshop.
Thank you for every participant in the vegetable cooking class which was a truly enriching experience.
The class was led by a knowledgeable and enthusiastic health coach & chef Johan du Plessis, who offered a hands-on approach to preparing a variety of vegetables, emphasizing both technique and flavor.

The session began with an introduction to the different types of vegetables, their nutritional benefits, and tips for selecting fresh produce. Johan demonstrated various cutting techniques, such as julienning, dicing, etc.

Throughout the class, we prepared several delicious dishes, including a vibrant stir-fry, a roasted vegetable dish, and broccoli & cauliflower gratin. Each recipe was designed to highlight the natural flavors and textures of the vegetables, using minimal seasoning to let their qualities shine.

The interactive format allowed for plenty of questions and personalized feedback, which was invaluable. By the end of the class, participants felt confident in their ability to prepare a wide range of vegetable dishes. The take-home recipes and tips provided ensured that they could easily replicate the dishes at home.

Overall, the vegetable cooking class was a fantastic way to enhance culinary skills, appreciate the versatility of vegetables, and enjoy healthier meals. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to expand their cooking repertoire and improve their diet.

So thankful for this fantastic bunch of people. We are a small training group supporting one another, for specific goals and races, but also keeping one another accountable for attending long runs. this group makes training easy as there is always laughter and lots of stories to share on the road. Life is better with friends like these.
