My name is Yoonjae (윤재 in Korean). I currently attend a public school in northern New Jersey. Here is a disclaimer that I am a lot less talkative in real life than through text.

I am fully committed to RISD and am planning to major in illustration with a concentration in nature-culture-sustainability studies. I also hope to cross-register for some Brown courses after the freshman year ends!

I make art of my original characters and their world (which you can find under @jaetassium and projectnaerris) as well as fanart of my favorite fictional characters. I do lots of observational studies too and enjoy drawing plants and animals quite a lot. Art has always been my favorite storytelling medium since I can remember and touches every part of my life, so I am so grateful to have the opportunity to study it in this amazing institution. Here is a list of my interests that I am happy to talk about:
* The Avengers, Tolkien’s books, Star Wars, OMORI.
* PG-rated video games (Stardew Valley, Legend of Zelda franchise, Minecraft).
* Writing (narrative, worldbuilding, essays/dissertations).
* Art (mainly 2D, I want to get better at 3D though).
* Science (earth/natural sciences, astronomy, nuclear chemistry).
* World history, political ideologies, social justice, the DSM-5.

I am not looking for a roommate but I am always open to friendly interactions, though I am much more of an observer and listener than someone who initiates conversation. I am happy to respond to comments and DMs, though! To reiterate, I am glad to study among many talented artists and am already learning new ways to enhance my own art.

Thank you for reading this far if you’re still here. Have a good rest of the day/night.

Sometimes you just need a day before the final product looks okay. Here is some more concept art for #projectnaerris, featuring:
-> Ora’s Palace: Where the royal family of the Ubralic Realm lived.
-> Uleonist deities: Uleonism’s (Ubral’s dominant religion post-Phoeqogean invasion) leading god-like figures.
-> Studies and drafting process for creating the Uleonist deities!
All of these belong to my AP 2-D art portfolio.

Politics is going downhill, but at least I can crank out concept sheets for Project Naerris where everything is 700% better (it’s not). I swear I’ll upload the video on Ubral soon… #visdevelopment #visdev #apart #portfolio #conceptartist #conceptart #conceptartwork #conceptsheet #digitalart #digitalartist #procreate #projectnaerris

This is my son. I gave birth to him. His name is Pierran Urid and he is an Ayulian archaeologist who digs up some cool stuff in Ubral a century or two after the Claudian War. He invented half-life tracking (dating items based on the number of radioactive isotopes present) in Naerris. In his free time, he eats rocks and stares at people until they become uncomfortable. Welcome to the world, Pierran!

Hi! This is me clearing the archives (yet again, I promise this will end soon). This is some concept art of the cuisine of my fictional country, Ubral! The taste of their food is pretty hardy, nutrient-dense, and herbal, and it’s very filling without taking up much actual room (one bowl of porridge alone can last you quite a while). Perfect for venturing the mountains! #occoncept #conceptart #conceptartist #illustration #ocart #ocartwork #projectnaerris #smallartist #indieartist #indieproject #oclore #worldbuilding #worldbuildingart #ocartist #digitalart #artistssupportingartists #antiai #procreate

Emptying my archives yet again. This is Usangleo’s Temple, dedicated to a (now no longer worshiped) Ubralian goddess named Usangleo. This was a leap of faith for my portfolio, as I have never designed any buildings before. It’s a few months old, but I’m still happy with how it looks. :)

I have to get this out of archives before it becomes too old. Anyways, this is a digital painting of Aleva and Ubeleo meeting up for the first time that I completed back in October! :) #artistsoninstagram #ocartist #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #ocart #ocartwork #digitalart #projectnaerris

I thought that today would be a good day to post some character sheets I made way back in 2024 :) This group of kids is called “Khavaleo’s 6 Travelers”. They are minor deities in Ubralian mythology (fictional country) that are wardens of the goddess of youth, Khavaleo. They’re very silly ^_^ enjoy!
