At 5:30 this morning, I was already reaching for the boldest color in my makeup bag.

Our lab gave me this new shade to test while I was in Milan, and I couldn’t wait to try it. At first, I thought, Too bold. Too much.

Then I blended it-paired it with-The Radian Palette- and wallah… it surprisingly felt like me. Soft, subtle cheeks. A medium-bold lip. Suddenly, the color didn’t feel intimidating, it felt wearable.

That’s the fun of trying something new: sometimes the shade you’re unsure about becomes the one that surprises you most. This color will be tested further, added softly… discreetly- just to see if I can make it versatile enough to add to my collection. What do you think? Ready for something more bold?

“Creating wasn’t proof that I was okay. It was how I survived it.” 🌊 The Grief. Losing everything. Chronic Illness and pain. PTSD. Depression. Anxiety. Trauma. Motherhood. The list goes on…

I created through the darkness. Through the uncertainty. Through the days when simply surviving and getting through felt like enough. And somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t creating to escape the pain, but to move through it. Giving it somewhere to go and ultimately…

Alchemizing it. 🪄

Turning the heaviness into something beautiful.
Taking a broken dream and creating a new one.
Using what I couldn’t change and creating something I could.

Sometimes God meets us in the darkest places of survival with a small, sacred spark of inspiration, to remind us that it is not the end of our story. Offering us the hope of dreaming again and creating something new. Giving us beauty for ashes. 🙏🏼

What looks like loss now, may just be making space for something new to be born. 💫

Ps. Thank you to my WAVES Village for the support, safe space, encouragement to keep going, and for inspiring me to continue to create and dream again. 🌊 @jaimemcfaden

Reviving the Face: A Thirty-Second Ritual
I never leave the house without restoring a hint of life to my skin. No matter what.
Not out of obligation, but as a quiet act of self-love. When I look alive, my spirit follows. No fuss-just enough to help me face the day with a smile✨

This morning, deeply jet lagged, I reached for a single palette: The Allure.

Ruby Dew, a sheer, dewy rose, worked across the lids, lips and apples of the cheeks for a cohesive monochromatic flush.
Champagne shimmer, pressed onto the high points to bring back the light that travel takes away.

Two steps. Thirty seconds. 1 MotherX Blush Brush.

Color in the right places reads as vitality, not makeup!

Glassy skin, a soft wash of Cocoa, and Lovebug on the lips-today’s Santorini look. ✨

I swapped my Satin eyeshadow stick for Cocoa and paired it with Lovebug gloss for an easy, soft sunlit finish. Getting ready with the Aegean Sea just behind, feels like a dream. Only 3 products and of course your favorite mascara makes traveling soooo much easier!

A little MotherX, a little island glow. 💋🌊

We are soooo excited!
Tonight, two emails came in back to back about distribution opportunities-and it feels like so much is beginning to move.

MotherX is growing, and I can’t wait to share what’s unfolding with the people who are helping build it from the ground up: you. Every woman who chooses MotherX is part of this story, and I’m so grateful you’re here.

MotherX.
The sky’s the limit, and…we’re just getting started.

“Your skin looks so youthful,
what do you use?”
I heard that more than once today from the lovely shop owners we met in Santorini. It’s good skincare and my MotherX!
And of course, I bring my MotherX collection with me everywhere I go✨

A little color, a dewy finish, and a glow that feels like me. MotherX is always coming along for the adventure. 💛

Semi-smokey. Super dewy. As glassy as I can get at 54. ✨

I wanted depth around the eyes without losing that fresh, luminous#makeupover50 skin.

Now let me show you exactly how I created it…
