No better way to wrap up summer than with Speed Camp! 🔥

A huge shoutout to all the athletes who came out this week and spent their final days of summer training with us. We’re so grateful for every athlete who showed up, put in the work, and trusted us to help build and be part of their performance journey.

We can’t wait to see you back for the next one! Be sure to stay tuned this fall—we’ll be dropping more camp dates soon!

In the meantime, keep those speed skills sharp! Schedule a trial at our facility in Vista and continue building the speed and strength needed to perform your best in your sport!

As always, we look forward to seeing you all at the gym! #embracetheodyssey 💪

60-80% of the force behind every sprint and jump comes from one movement pattern.

The hip hinge.

If your training doesn’t prioritize it, you’re leaving performance on the table.

Swipe to see what it actually builds. 👆

Most programs only train one part of the force–velocity curve.

Some just lift heavy.
Some just jump and sprint.
Some just do “conditioning.”

That’s incomplete.

The force–velocity curve explains how athletes develop true power:

🔹 High Force → Max Strength
🔹 Middle → Loaded Power
🔹 High Velocity → Speed & Reactivity

Your athlete needs all three.

Strength teaches them to produce force.
Loaded power teaches them to apply force fast.
Speed work teaches them to express it on the field or court.

If we only train one zone, performance caps out.

At Odyssey Performance, we build across the entire spectrum so high school athletes don’t just get stronger… they get more explosive where it matters.

That’s intentional development. Not random workouts.
