God is SO great. Preemptive dump for year 28.

Arguably the best year or my life, but who’s to say it doesn’t keep getting better?

If you told me 5 years ago I’d be where I am now, I’d call you a liar. Jesus saves, I promise

Tonight was special. Not because of the miles or the pace. Because of all of you. Leaning on each other. Crying together. Laughing together. Showing up for one another through all of it.

This is what it’s all about.
This is Fam!

Good luck to everyone taking on the @neptunefestival 8K this weekend. And sending all the love across the ocean to our fam @desmond.tillmon and @jpresa_runs as they take on the @berlinmarathon .

…and also to @runwithjalil as he goes for redemption running 100 miles from Richmond back to Va Beach!

Different starting lines. Same family.

Thanks again @everbowl_southhamptonroads for having us. Have a great week! 💥

Woke up 39 today feeling peaceful, grateful, and very aware of just how much there is to be thankful for. 🤍

Yesterday my body carried me 39 miles. Today I can walk, move, laugh, have coffee with a friend, and go about my day. These things can feel so ordinary that we forget what a privilege they really are.

Health is something we so easily take for granted. So is time. So is having people around us who care.

I’ve spent much of this past year in my own little bubble — working, going to school, handling life, and keeping my world relatively small. Yesterday I genuinely didn’t expect so many people to show up. Some ran with me, some rode beside me, some brought food and snacks, checked on me, encouraged me, celebrated with me, or simply came to be there.

It reminded me how much power there is in community, and how fortunate I am to have people who show up for me in so many different ways.

I wanted to run 39 miles for my 39th birthday simply because right now, I can.

And maybe that’s something I want to carry into this next year of my life: while I can move, move. While I can experience, experience. While I can love, love. While I can show up, show up.

Nothing is promised, and there is so much we take for granted until we are reminded not to.

So today I’m simply counting my blessings — my health, my body, my children, my people, another year of life, and another opportunity to keep moving forward.

39 years. 39 miles. And hopefully a lot of life still ahead. 🤍

Here’s to 39.

I never would’ve called myself a runner. Now, I can’t imagine my life without it.
NERC is so much more than a run club. It’s about community. It’s about showing up for yourself and for others. It’s about encouragement, accountability, friendship, and the kind of connections that truly change your life. I am so beyond thankful for this community/run club.
I only have a couple more Tuesdays left before I head off to travel the world. But no matter where I am, NERC will always be a part of me. I’ll be thinking of yall every Tuesday, just from a different trail, a different city, or maybe even a different country.
Thank you for every mile, every laugh, every finish line, and every friendship. This community has changed my life, and I’ll carry a little piece of NERC with me wherever I go. Happy 10 years NERC !! 🤍

Thank you @barryclarrk and @michaelrowlland for pouring your hearts into this community week after week. Thank you for showing up, supporting each and every one of us, and creating a place where so many friendships, memories, and miles begin. So grateful for everything you do. Happy 10 years!

to my best friend, @melaniecambro ,thank you for every mile, every race, every early morning, every finish line, and every adventure. Watching how far we’ve come together has been one of my favorite parts of this journey. And we’re both now officially NERC cup winners. I love and appreciate you so much.

The cup is fun, but these girls are the real prize. 🤍
Find the people who are worth showing up for and who show up for you. Whether they were here tonight or cheering from somewhere else, I’m so grateful for every single one of you.

This club has given me confidence, unforgettable memories, countless laughs, and friendships I’ll carry with me wherever life takes me. It has shaped me into not only a better runner, but a better person. Happy 10 years to my favorite run club and thank you for making every Tuesday the best part of the week.
