I finally got a light for above my bar piece!
I’ve had this steel piece with drawers, which I absolutely adore, for several years now and this was my vision from day one!
I just had to share😍

Happy Wednesday everyone!

🌟Meet Your 2025 No Tie Co-Chair: Jake Wikander🌟

Passionate about design, community, and giving back, Jake Wikander is bringing his energy and expertise to No Tie: There’s No Place Like Home as a 2025 co-chair! With a background in interior design, Jake understands the power of creating spaces that bring people together—something that deeply connects to his advocacy for housing stability and prevention efforts.

At the heart of Jake’s mission is ensuring access to affordable housing and prevention of trouble times before they begin. As a Board Trustee for ASD | A Home for Life, he works to provide long-term housing solutions and critical support services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. ASD’s focus is not just on shelter, but on preventing displacement and creating sustainable, independent futures for its residents.

Jake’s passion for philanthropy runs deep. In addition to his work with ASD, he has been involved with several nonprofits, including the American Cancer Society, and has worked tirelessly to engage young professionals in Dallas’ charitable community. His first nonprofit endeavor began in 2018 with Young Texans Against Cancer’s Bubbly Q, igniting a commitment that has led to years of fundraising, event leadership, and helping raise millions of dollars for critical causes.

Beyond his professional and philanthropic work, Jake’s biggest inspiration comes from his always incredibly supportive parents and his five younger siblings, who keep him grounded and remind him daily of the importance of family, love, and showing up for the people who need it most.

Outside of his advocacy work, Jake embraces an active and healthy lifestyle, waking up early and running almost every day to keep both his mind and body strong.

Join Jake and his co-chair Caleb Hand on May 31st, 2025, for a night that’s more than just a party—it’s a movement. Because when we come together, there really is no place like home.

Show some love for Jake in the comments and stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes magic!

There's no such thing as too much gold accent! ⭐

I love how gold elevates a cake and makes it look so luxurious and elegant. It's not just a cake, it's a statement piece!

We are thrilled to be hosting numerous valued trade partners at our Visual Comfort Light Lab Experience next week!

Abigal Sorenson, our Tech Lighting Guru, will be in Dallas for this exclusive event where she will discuss Architectural Recessed Lighting and how we can change the game to truly quiet the ceiling, reducing it of unsightly glare.

DM me if you would like to be included in this over-the-top, exciting experience. We still have a few spots open!!
