DJ @boneshakergothnight & @ciancocteau are back for another all vinyl dance party. This time around @Jakobsounds (Nelson, BC) joins the mix.

Party starts at 9pm on Wednesday July 22 at @Palominosmokehouse. $10 advanced $15 at the door.

JΔKΟB has a passion for blending evocative sounds and avante-garde releases; all with a distinctly dark, moody, yet alluring atmosphere. Taking inspiration from the radical and rebellious origins of punk and electronic music and the dark music genres their union spawned, he gravitates towards tracks with disco heavy rhythms, reverb drenched snares, sequence driven synths, and brooding, introspective lyrics. With a preference for all things analog, he often chooses selections from his diverse collection of vinyl that spans the sub-genres of the gothic music canon. JΔKΟB’s eclectic sets can simultaneously evoke a nostalgic yearning for the past, while igniting a burning desire for the future.

With another excellent Beer Garden season under our belts, we have a lot to be thankful for and a lot of people to thank!

From our staff to our musical guests to our amazing local and visiting patrons, it takes a community to make the Beer Garden the vibe it is.

August at Red Light Ramen
Harvest season is here, and we’re soaking up the late summer sun with another month of music, art, and community.

This month we’re excited to present a new exhibition by Anna Jauncey, opening August 1st with a special DJ set by Suncat & Friends. We’ve also got some extra special Friday guests this month — The Librarian & Mood Change will be stopping by for a one-off night on August 9th.

As always, our Wednesdays are for live music on the patio, with some of our favorite local acts playing all month long. Come early, sip something cold, and ease into the evening with us.

Thank you all for receiving this sweet treat of a creation we worked so hard to share. You brought the joy, sparkle, shake, & PLUR vibe to the night. Y’all lit it up with your energy.
What a way to say CYA FUCKIN LATER 2024.

Through our Kandi Klub conception we curated a space that invoked love, joy, silliness, playfulness, & connection to the inner child; while pulling from our roots & honouring Klub culture from the past. We aimed to showcase the best parts of previous decades rave culture & meld it with the present time. We brought the sweet n tasty while still serving grit n subterranean realness.

Thank you for believing in us & dancing it out until the wee hours of the morning.

There’s something so powerful in gathering together on the dance floor. The rave has always been a place of resistance. A place of refuge. A sanctuary. A release. Where the frequency can flow through our bodies & allow us to feel deeply into ourselves, our emotions, our grief, pain, memories, happiness…& also with that of those around us, those far away, or those who have left us. Music connects us all.
Through this intentional space we can use our platform to create real change.
In a world that needs more love, more hope, more connection, more resiliency… gathering as a community can be the way to push our love & magic in the right direction. It is here we can truly embody joy as activism.

Thank you so much to our team who made this happen. It takes a village!! We would not have been able to do this without all of the help & support. We are immensely grateful for all of you.
