🥈 2nd Place – Middleweight | Pure Athletic Classic

From not placing last year to taking home 2nd this year, with 8 more pounds of stage weight. Happy with the progress and the improvements made.

But the work isn’t done yet. One more show to go, and I know I can bring an even sharper leaner physique to the stage that I am extremely proud of.

I didn’t document much of this prep because I really wanted to lock in and do the work in silence. This prep definitely came with its challenges, as no prep is ever easy, but with every show, I continue to grow stronger mentally and physically.

Beyond grateful for everyone who’s supported me throughout this journey. The best is yet to come. 🏆

Back to work. 🫡

The end of my prep is here!

Official end pictures are at 235.5 lbs and this is what I believe to be my best physique ever.

Mind you this was a mock prep and not for an actual bodybuilding show. If I was actually going to compete, I would still need to diet off another 5 to 7 lbs of fat with another 3 ish weeks of dieting.

But I do believe this is physique overall beats the physique I brought to the stage last year at 215 lbs as a whole package even though of course last year in stage the condition was sharper.

I'm extremely happy with the progress I've made this past year and I'm confident that if Jehovah God gives me health and work, I will continue developing and getting closer to a pro-level physique.

Next year my goal is to display a physique on stage people will consider art. A blend of old school bodybuilding with superb posing, symmetry, condition and the premise of open Bodybuilding which is size.

I want to thank all of you out there constantly motivate me and message me to keep going and be the best version of me I can be. All of you know who you are and it means the world to me ❤️ I tried tagging most of you but it wouldn't let me tag more people.

Video on the prep will be released in a few days!

I'm overwhelmed with these 2 incredible athletes and friends that showed the world their potential yesterday and displayed themselves as some of the best athletes in Canada.

I'm extremely proud of @jamalfisherrr and @laurrliftss as they displayed their best physiques ever on stage this weekend at the @canadianphysiquealliance @naturalcanadaproshow qualifier.

Jamal came in 2nd place out of an extremely competitive line up and nearly had a chance to fight for a pro card this weekend. With incredible symmetry, condition, muscle size and a crisp dryness that open guys dream of, his physique is the pinnacle of what a Greek god sculpture would look like.

Lauren was the most conditioned girl in her class with beautiful lines and symmetry and a hardness to her physique most competitors only dream of. Lauren was rewarded with 3rd place in her class. I am biased but I believe Lauren had the best physique in that line up and truly envisions what the figure class is.

Both of these athletes have an extremely bright future ahead and I know they can be amazing professionals one day.

You guys are such a pleasure to work with and I really have a deep spot in my heart for the 2 of you ❤️.

Thank you for giving me the privilege of letting me guide you with Jehovah God's help.

I'm super proud of both @jamalfisherrr and @laurrliftss for their amazing display of today at the @canadianphysiquealliance @cpa.barrienaturals .

Jamal came in second place in his class with an unbelievable package and Lauren got to win the overall win in figure In another stacked line up.

I've seen these two amazing athletes and friends go from their first shows all the way to winning multiple overalls.

They have so much potential and they keep getting better and better as time goes by.

You guys both have a bright future ahead and I'm very privileged that you let me guide you on your journey with God's help. Love you guys!

I want to send a massive shout out to @laurrliftss and @jamalfisherrr

They're literally my favorite couple in fitness LOL

These two continue to improve despite whatever life throws at them. Most people won't even believe these, but these two athletes are lifetime naturals and will be competing tomorrow at the @canadianphysiquealliance @cpa.barrienaturals

I've grown to love them and I see them like a father would his kids as I've felt privileged to be able to help them both on and off the stage.

No matter what the placing is tomorrow, I've already told him they're champions and they won. Because even if they come in last place, they're after absolute best ever and they've smashed their previous looks from last year and even earlier this year.

I'm proud of these two and I cannot wait to be able to see them on stage tomorrow showing what all their hard work has built!

Let’s talk alcohol & fitness 🍷💪

This isn’t about guilt or shaming anyone , it’s about understanding what alcohol actually does inside your body, so you can make informed decisions

Alcohol (ethanol) is a toxin ☠️
Your body sees it as a threat and stops everything else like fat burning, carb metabolism and muscle repair just to get rid of it

It gets broken down in your liver, turning into acetaldehyde (a toxic compound) before it’s flushed out

But in the meantime…
⚠️ Metabolism slows
⚠️ Nutrients get stripped
⚠️ Muscle recovery stalls

And yes it has 7 calories per gram with zero nutritional benefit ( kind of a waste in my opinion)

What gets depleted after drinking?
🧠 B-vitamins (B1, B6, B12, folate)
🧂 Sodium, potassium, magnesium, zinc
🦴 Calcium, vitamin C

Even days after, your performance takes a hit
❌ Lower VO2 max
❌ Suppressed HRV
❌ Poor sleep
❌ Sluggish reaction time
❌ Elevated inflammation

Recovery time? Kinda shitty …48–72 hours on average

So next time you reach for that drink ask yourself … what’s the risk-to-reward ratio?🧐

And if you do choose to enjoy a drink, rehydration is essential
I always recommend @insaltd ➡️high sodium, clean formulas and well-balanced electrolytes that support real recovery 💪🏻

Train smart. Recover smarter 🫶🏻#fitness #themoreyouknow #knowledgeispower #alcohol #drinksmart #foodforthought
