Week 4 ✅

Another relentless week of ticking off the distance together. We added another 434 km to the board, pushing our collective total to 1,328 km on our journey around the world.

The temperatures are dropping and the layers are coming out, but the lads have been getting out regardless. We have had the usual mix of early morning ghost runs before the house stirs and late evening miles with headtorches on. We have seen dads recovering from half marathon efforts, and others taking things to another level by tackling full on ultramarathons.

On top of all the miles, we have a massive announcement: we are now officially teaming up with and proudly raising money for Movember.

From day one, Dad’s Pace has been about carving out headspace, looking after our mental health, and supporting each other as fathers. Teaming up with Movember gives every single kilometre we pool on Strava an even bigger purpose. Details on our fundraising page and how to support will be shared very soon.

Whether you are logging 3 km around the block or racking up ultra distances, every single stride counts toward the 40,075 km goal.

If you are a dad looking to get moving, clear your head, and join a zero pressure crew, drop a comment or send a DM to get involved.

Week 3 ✅

The momentum behind this is getting unreal. We are now up to 17 dads chipping away at the miles together.

Together, we racked up a massive 468 km this week, pushing our new overall total to 894 km.

From early morning sessions before the house wakes up to late night escapes to clear the head, the effort has been relentless. We have seen personal bests fall, big training miles logged, and the Cardiff Half Marathon ticked off with some huge runs from the lads. Every single kilometre is feeding straight into that 40,075 km tally.

If you are a dad looking for an excuse to lace up, grab an hour to yourself, and be part of something bigger with zero pace pressure, you are always welcome here.

Drop a comment or shoot across a DM to grab the Strava link and jump in.

Week 2 done ✅

The challenge has had an unbelievable start. We’ve already grown to 14 dads running together, spread all across the country and even a few overseas. Together, we racked up an unreal 303 km this week, pushing our new overall total to 426 km.

Every single run, school-run jog, or late-evening escape is feeding into that 40,075 km tally, and the community forming around it is the best part.

If you are a dad looking for an excuse to lace up, grab an hour to yourself, and be part of something bigger with zero pace pressure, you’re always welcome here.

Drop a comment or shoot across a DM to grab the Strava link and jump in.

Chester 102.5 miler ✅ this race was personal!!

Going into the Chester 100 I hadn't run for nearly 4 weeks after suffering an injury to the hip so we were going out to do a 100miler leg shaker 😅

It Started really well.. flying to begin with.. then I was hit with the multiple "walls" that come with ultra running!

Dizziness - light headed - cramps - sickness & weazing from the early hours of the morning until finish... It was a case of rolling with the punches and being very thankful for my brother @james.wall4
Who Was there to help me pick up the pieces along the way!! 💪

I did though.. hit a PR on pretty much every segment thanks to @croylesperformancecoaching
Every sneaky staircase and incline was a breeze compared to the first time round including to the trig point to finish the full incline set... Strength training for the win 🖤

Programming and training plans by @justins_diary_as_thetricoach
@ttc_thetricoach_ keeping me running harder for longer..

I will one day get the 100 under 24hours!!

As being in the pain cave for 24+ hours is a rough ride that takes its toll 😂

There was support from so many people along the way but @broddes1 @james.davies.9083
& @rosie_martin deserve a tip of the cap 🖤 thank you!!

Thanks to all the race organisers - volunteers & support along the way!!

It was in the final few miles that I saw the text from @james.davies.9083 giving yet another famous quote that'll stick with me & gave me a kick up the back side..

"now bury the demon, that is this race"

Consider that demon buried 👊 we may visit the grave one day!! 😉 (But not anytime soon) 😅

When the finish line became a "when" and not an "if" I dreamed of the famous black and white portrait shot from the famous @danbentleyphoto "literally the only reason I do these things" 😂 again.. did not disappoint! Thank you... 💪

Now for the Pennine barrier 50miler next week 💪😂

Frustrating afternoon for Thanet Athletic on Sunday in a 2v2 draw a game they really should have taken all three points from. Plenty of chances created and long spells of control, but it just wouldn’t quite fall their way when it mattered most.

Despite the result, it was great to be back on the touchline after a few weeks away. There’s nothing like being back in the action, capturing the moments. 😊

Grassroots to the Top | Episode 2 ⚽️🏟️
Second match behind the lens and I’m already hooked.
Still learning, still finding my rhythm — but every game brings something new.
Am I any good? I’ll let you decide 😅
All I know is I love every second of it.
These are a few of my favourite shots so far (honestly could’ve shared loads more 👀).

Here we go — Day One! ⚽📸

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved football and had a real passion for photography, but I never thought about bringing the two together… until now!

Everything’s about to change as I start my journey from grassroots to the top — climbing the leagues, one match and one photo at a time. Sounds crazy? Maybe 🤷🏻 But we all have to start somewhere, right?

If you’re up for it, come along for the ride. Let’s see how far this can go 🙌

Through the night ✨
•
Slide 1 - this was the last shot of the night and the meteor flew straight into the frame 3 seconds after I pushed the button, favourite shot of the night

Slide 2 - this one is a long exposure photo pointing straight up while slowly zooming out (using a tripod)

Slide 3
I wasn’t to keen on the composition but with the northern lights making a appearance I had to take the shot

Slide 4
This was a time lapse that took 15 mins to make using my in camera intervalometer

Slide 5
I wanted to try something different by having @james.wall4 in frame staring up at the stars and I like the outcome
