Thoughtful design starts with seeing a home’s potential… At our Cedarbrook Project we reimagined the relationship between the dining room and staircase by removing a wall and redesigning the stairs to create an open and connected space with a ton of natural light!

Thinking of renovating this winter? We’d love to show you the possibilities in your own home. Reach out today to book a discovery call and learn how we can help!

It feels like I just posted about the start of summer, and somehow we’re already heading into the last long weekend of the season! It felt short but still full. 💕

At our Cedarbrook Project, we used a lot of wallpaper, but I think my favourite might be the one tucked away inside one of the primary closets. Whimsical, colourful, a little unexpected and the perfect nod to summer as we soak up these last few days.✨

What no one really tells you about renovating: you’re going to go through ALL the emotions.

I once heard renovating compared to pregnancy…

At first, it’s pure excitement. The possibilities, the inspiration, imagining how different your home could feel.

Then comes the planning. Budgets, drawings, quotes and a lot of decisions. A little more stress, but you’re still excited.

Then construction begins. Things get messy, but slowly you start to see it all come together.

And then comes the stage I warn every client about:

You’re just ready to be done.

Decision fatigue sets in. You’re tired of the disruption, the spending and making choices. And this is often when clients start pulling back on the details we carefully planned.

But you’re almost there. This is when you need to trust the plan.

Because one day, the dust settles, everything comes together, and all that excitement, stress and exhaustion suddenly feels worth it.

The journey isn’t always about the pretty things, but the end result makes you forget some of the hard parts. ✨

Peanut’s photo was selected as one of 20+ dogs featured in Victoria Sanders latest wallpaper series titled “Dog Tales”! 🤎 Way to go Miss P! 👏🐾

Victoria is also a dog lover herself and has 3 chihuahuas! 😅 Inspired by her childhood favorite film “Homeward Bound”, she envisioned a dog-focused design that feels both timeless and elegant, celebrating adventure, loyalty and storytelling through a classic aesthetic.

This toile wallpaper comes in 5 colorways and would be sweet in a child’s room. I suspect it would very distracting in a boardroom setting… so… not recommending that location. 😆😅

Thanks to Heather @james_crossing for letting us know about the contest and to Victoria @victoriasandersdesign for including Peanut! It’s been so fun seeing Peanut included in the group. I’m sure if it were a real journey, Peanut would be leading the group full steam ahead! Into the forest we go!! 😂🥰

A common question I get asked is, can you wallpaper a bathroom? And the short answer is yes, with @polyvine_uk you can simply varnish your wallpaper once it’s hung to give it a protective seal against humidity and wear and tear.

Pink can be pretty, but also used as a soft backdrop in your space instead of white. Enjoy these wallpaper samples as some inspiration! 💘 #pinkwalls #wallpaperdecor #northvancouverdecorator
