People have survived centuries without data centers, but humanity has never survived without clean water.

This is the reality of the Google data center being built in Montgomery County Missouri.

This is not just another building.

This is a massive industrial-scale data center being built on what was once a tree farm, on a road literally called Tree Farm Road, above an important aquifer.

Those trees were not “worthless land.”

They were a living system that stored carbon, supported wildlife, cooled the land, protected the soil, and helped rainwater naturally move back into the ground.

Now that landscape is being replaced with concrete, steel, and an enormous industrial footprint that will impact this area for generations.

The question is not whether technology exists.

The question is whether we are willing to sacrifice the natural systems that protect our water for a facility this massive.

A data center can store information.

But it cannot refill an aquifer.

It cannot grow a forest.

And it cannot replace the ecosystem that was already giving back.

From @hesnotwrongpodcast URGENT NEWS: A child might die from cancer because Medicaid of Alabama is denying her request for lifesaving treatment needed to cure her of osteosarcoma. Doctors at Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham said she must receive the treatment before the cancer metastasizes; if it metastasizes, she will no longer be a candidate. The treatment must be done at MD Anderson and has a 75% survival rate. No child should die from a curable disease because Medicaid won’t fund it.
