I bought this mahogany Anglo-Japanese chair several years ago and have always admired its proportions and style despite its later regency stripe upholstery. I've never been able to pin it down to a maker or a designer but its obviously in the manner of E.W. Godwin. There are no obvious makers marks to the underside although they could be lurking somewhere....

This will be a 2 day event from 10:00 to 16:00 both days and admission will be free!

Got this very pleasant surprise in the post this morning. Its been a bit of a long journey since the first symposium in 2015 and now there's a call for papers for fir the next symposium in London in 2023. I remember listening to a range of very interesting international speakers and learning so much about Dresser, his world and his 'ouvre'. It's not always so grim up North as the stereotype would suggest!

This wonderful and immaculate Hille art deco cocktail bar is just one of many superb items that myself and @jamesmilesltd will have for sale on our stand at the Battersea decorative fair 4th-8th may. A new venture for me and one I'm delighted to be standing.

We are right down the bottom left corner on the perimeter.

See us for some interesting pieces of furniture, some ceramics that suit the stand, decorative arts and pictures, lighting and mirrors.

NOW SOLD.

See @decorativefair for tickets and times details.
