2 years have passed since my move from Boston to Apa Aesthetic in Miami. I love it here. A lot has changed, but my relationship with my Dad as a mentor and best friend remains strong as ever.

I drive a lot. With a lot of different communities. Over the last week I did two events that share more than they know.

Last weekend I went up to @limerockpark to race in @thevscca Spring Sprints. The season opener to vintage racing of the finest order. As always it was wonderful to hang with the wild boys of the club and spend time with the good folks of Ktr racing.

Last night I joined the good folks of @grassroots_edition and @primenyc.co for a midnight run precursor to the grassroots spring season opener. One of the finest events of the year. As always it was a wild smorgasbord of the nyc car communities moving through urban scapes with some of the most loved and diverse builds you can find anywhere.

Both groups share so much. A wild and abiding passion for cars. A group of people united via oil and metal across a wide spectrum in every other way. A penchant for controlled speed and a need for the flow state of engine and pedal.

We live in a golden age of motoring and in a land that still venerates the automobile and the freedom it enables. I’m proud to be part of both communities and always eager to bridge them.

Safe driving with whomever you drive with our there. It’s a privilege.

“Fireside chat” with my Dad @jamesmsteindmd

Of all my mentors, I’ve learned the most from my Dad. A second generation prosthodontist, my Dad maintains a well private practice in Boston, MA where I worked alongside for almost 10 years before joining @apa.aesthetic @doctorapa

Here, we had a quiet moment to ask each other a few questions about life, dentistry and balance.

Full interview to come!

Quality time with my dad, @jamesmsteindmd, at this year’s ACP. Grateful for the chance to reconnect with @albahri.dds and Dr. Jahangiri — always inspiring company 🙏

Last week I spoke about the importance of mentorship. This week, I’m diving deeper into what it truly means — to me and to our profession. Every day, I carry the wisdom and methods passed down from my mentors, combine them with lessons I’ve learned on my own, and refine what fits my personal style. That blend is what makes each dentist unique. When we pay it forward, we push the profession forward.
