Whirlwind trip to Sydney today for the opening drinks of Life’s Fleeting Moments with Susan Shortridge.

Loved meeting some new collectors and other gallery artists. Thank you Katie, you’re wonderful, your curatorial skills are amazing and your gallery is beautiful.

Can’t wait to visit again soon.

Rainy day framing day. Labour of love 🫶 Hand cut, mitred, stained and mounted. Not sure it saves time nor money, but it’s been great to learn and do the whole process from woah to go ☺️ a few recent mini landscapes with co-framer @jamesrobertsart and thanks to the og master @simonpalmeroz for the lessons

It’s the final weekend of James’ show at @project_gallery_woollahra thank you for everyone who showed up and supported in all of the different ways💙💙 pop along this weekend if you haven’t, we will be there Saturday. I’ve been lucky enough to see most of these works come to life and privy to all of the patience and consideration that goes in to them. Painting is a way of staying afloat in a pretty crazy world at least for James and I, a moment to be still, focus, ‘so how would I mix the exact blue of that bottle? Of that sky? Of that sea?’ To spend time looking, noticing in a fast world, a crazy, spinning world. It’s an anchoring, a life raft, a meditation, an appreciation of the small stuff which then extends and changes how you view the world. So appreciative of this practice, of James for putting himself out there when it feels easier to bunker down in the tin shed, and for the friends and family who support us and inspire us. And to Katie @project_gallery_woollahra because it is no small feat running a galley in this city and she does so much to support the spirits and the livelihoods of the artists she represents 💙💙💙 keep on painting and making everyone! @jamesrobertsart #oilpainting
