Massively honoured to share the souvenir programme that Studio Griggs were commissioned to design for the just-opened Aardman #LargerthanLife show at @_lightroomldn 💘🎞️

It was an absolute joy working with the Lightroom team, @niceone_creative, @aardmananimations and @healeysprinters on the programme (who shared these marvellous BTS pics). All paper stock was supplied by @fedrigoni.paper 😍

Telling the Aardman story in a truly joyful, immersive and inspirational way through animation, cinematic moments and archival treasures - Larger than Life opened on Weds to the public and I was lucky enough to take my kids along to the preview just before. Needless to say, we were all blown away!

Huge congrats to @_lightroomldn @59dotstudio @aardmananimations and all the (many) cracking creatives involved in bringing the show together✨👏✨

Art in the streets, ideas on stage, beats after dark. 🤖

We almost can’t believe it, @KIKK_festival is turning 15! From 22 to 25 October, artists, designers, researchers and musicians take over Namur for the number one festival on digital art and technology.

Follow surprising art trails throughout the city, tune into talks questioning where AI, design and technology are headed, let kids experience tech through gaming and immersive installations at Le Pavillon and enjoy three nights of music and audiovisual performances. 🪩

Internationally renowned names such as @jamfactory, @momentfactory and @random_studio are joined by Belgian talent like @verhelstvictor, @driesdepoorter and @soulwaxofficial.

I’ve found myself in the middle (hopefully towards the end) of a creative funk. That’s why I decided to reread “Do Fly: Find your way. Make a living. Be your best self.” by Gavin Strange.

Since I feel like creatively I’ve gotten off track, this isn’t the type of book that will necessarily help you get “back on track.”

As an autodidactic polymath (thanks, Gavin), you teach yourself in a number of different subject areas, which I love and is something he talks about. Gavin points out some honest truths about a creative life and creativity, which is, namely, lifelong problem-solving by using the right mindset, among other things.

Whether in need of standing out or dealing with setbacks such as this one, he mentions doing things that you love and building on what others have built, but to do it honestly. By that, perhaps you might stumble upon something original.

Apart from good, honest and sound advice, he peppers in golden quotes, such as this one I really enjoy: “You’re a ghost driving a meat-covered skeleton made from stardust” - Source unknown. Well said.

If you’re looking for inspiration, get this book. Or just check out Gavin’s work which will definitely get the ideas rolling in @jamfactory

”Don’t make it perfect. Make it now.“

Advice Gavin Strange (@jamfactory) was given at Aardman, passed on at beyond tellerrand Berlin 2022 and passed on again here. ;)

Gavin is a whirlwind of ideas and energy. ”What could possibly go wrong“ might be something he thinks before ”doing it“. And it was what I though when I he suggested doing live opening titels at beyond tellerrand Düsseldorf in 2025 also. He‘s great.

Full talk via the link in our bio.

We turned our ‘MF LAGOON’ design into an A3 print using the Risograph printer here at PLYFLD HQ! Riso always looks good, with the beautiful little artefacts and happy misalignment that inevitably happens. We’re *so* close to launching our online store - stay tuned to www.plyfld.com and signup to the newsletter to be notified when it goes live - this print will definitely be up there! #mfdoom #creaturefromtheblacklagoon #pinball #pinballlife #risograph

The live @buildingyourbrandpodcast event I hosted in February was one of the proudest moments of my career, and I genuinely can't wait to do it all again next Tuesday in London!

There is nothing quite like getting a bunch of creatives and business owners in a room to chat about all the topics that are affecting us!

When someone says or describes something and you get that moment of 'ohhh it's not just me' - or when someone says something that challenges how you thought about a topic and makes you rethink it! That is where growth but also reassurance happens. And you come away feeling different.

Less alone!

There is still time to get your tickets for the event - and there are a few discount codes floating around if you look carefully!

And the important details - its happening on:

Tuesday 29th September
7pm at @stbridefoundation near Blackfriars in London
With special guests @mr_bingstagram and @ola_pelo
Epic goody bag included
There will be a bar where you can buy drinks

Comment LIVE and I will send you the link to get your ticket

***HOT OFF THE PRESS***

@adobe invited us to contribute to their New Era Vol. 001 publication.

The narrative explores the growing value of process, taste, and honing your creative voice in an age of infinite machine generated outputs. With 20,000 copies distributed to students at leading film and design universities across the US and UK, it’s been amazing to see PLYFLD become part of that conversation.

We love being able to use self-initiated projects like PLYFLD to inspire the next generation of creatives showing that experimentation, process, and playfulness are such an integral part of being creative.

And, of course, we’re hoping a few of them start playing pinball too!!
