PARIS PART 2 🇫🇷✨
Getting to support a friend during Paris Fashion Week was such a gift, but I walked away realizing God had invited me into something so much bigger than a runway show.
My heart was awakened in a new way to pray for the arts and entertainment industry.
Not only did I get to create music for this runway show with friends, but for over a month I knew the names of the models who would be walking and prayed for them by name—declaring God’s heart for them, their identity, worth and value.
I prayed over my friend, her designs and every piece that would walk that runway. I asked God to use her mightily—and He did.
Her collection carried a message of purity, and watching it come down that runway felt incredibly significant. At a time when riots, hatred and rebellion were rising around us, we were strategically placed to pray, worship and declare the blood of Jesus and His authority over France.
But ministry didn’t stop at Fashion Week.
God had an encounter waiting in a jewelry store with a sweet young woman we were able to pray for. She told us she could feel “energy” coming from me, and I got to tell her what she was experiencing was the love and power of Jesus. We prayed, she experienced healing, and most importantly, she encountered His love.
The next day, at a croissant baking class of all places 🥐, God introduced us to an incredible Christian couple from Germany. What could have been a brief conversation turned into TWO HOURS talking about Jesus, the church in Germany, and how we could pray for and stand with believers there.
That’s what I love about saying YES to God.
You may think you’re going for a runway, writing a song, walking into a jewelry store or taking a croissant class—but God sees the people before you ever meet them.
The arts are a mission field. Fashion is a mission field. Music is a mission field. Even a croissant class can become a mission field.
God knows exactly where to strategically place a surrendered YES. 🇫🇷❤️‍🔥

I personally had no idea how dark the fashion industry could be until stepping into this space at Paris Fashion Week.

And it reminded me just how necessary it is for Kingdom people to be exactly where God has called them to be.

So if you needed permission, encouragement, or simply a reminder to do the thing God put inside of you… this is it.

Create. Write. Design. Sing. Build. Lead. Go into the spaces He’s called you to and carry His presence with you.

Watching my friend Natasha’s Cabrera Vargas line come out during the Young Designers Festival was something I’ll never forget. Her collection was centered around purity. PURE and PURITY were written across the garments, and the blood of Jesus was represented throughout the collection.

You could feel a shift.

In the middle of an atmosphere carrying so many other messages, suddenly there was a declaration of purity, truth and Jesus.

What an honor to witness it and to have even a small part in what God is doing through creatives in this space.

For a long time, I think I limited myself by believing I had to fit into one box. I’m a voice coach. I’m a singer. I’m a songwriter. I’m a missionary. As though I had to choose one lane for God to use me.

But lately, He’s been showing me something different.

When you are planted where He tells you to be planted, you don’t have to manufacture the fruit. Fruit becomes the evidence of being rooted in the right place.

Maybe the point isn’t to figure out which box you belong in.

Maybe it’s simply to be faithful with everything He put in your hands, wherever He sends you.

Kingdom creatives, the world needs what God put inside of you.

Take your place. 🤍

“Obedience Over Sacrifice” out now on all streaming platforms!

After so much sharing heart, collaboration, and spiritual warfare, this song is released.

God gave me the idea to create this song when I was still trying to find somewhere to live in Fort Worth, TX. I was living in an AirBnb and I didn’t have a studio so I was making beats and recording demos inside of my car. I was interceding for some friends who were idolizing culture when the beat came to my head. I started creating it and immediately shared it with @neal.johnson and I knew @caleenaeleni had to be on it.

The crazy part was that the devil was so mad at me, after praying for authority to get have deliverance in my music for Fort Worth, I started dealing with severe throat issues. I barely could talk or use my upper register when I was recording and this lasted for months. Even though God somehow helped me to get the song done, I started getting hit with fear that I wouldn’t be able to release new music because I couldn’t sing or use my voice like I used to. Then after that was the financial thing. I had no idea how I was going to be able to do everything with releasing music and promoting, let alone having a music video. But God provided with such great friends and support I never could have thought I’d receive.

A further blessing was even having @jamiekmusic help out with orchestration and @kamilslaby_ help out with mastering the song. Even more so, @neal.johnson helped with shooting the video and @kennyminordp helped with color grading it.

I’m seriously so blessed to have made the decision to move out here. That’s another post though.

Thank you @axlcreativeco for even hosting a company of creatives like this! If it were not for this community quite frankly, this song wouldn’t have happened.
