Buchinhalt:

🫠 🤯🤩 = My mood when both the Front Dust jacket and Reverse Side are absolutely stunning on a book set and how could I ever pick just one way to display them!!! Scarlett looking absolutely gorgeously terrifying on the front and then on the reverse side we have Scarlett and Sorin together looking stunning!! 🤩

If you haven’t read the Lady of Darkness series by Melissa K. Roehrich!! I highly suggest you pick it up!! I’m almost finished and I will be balling my eyes out when it’s over because the story and characters are absolutely beautiful and have carved their place in my heart forever.
Check trigger warnings before reading, they are listed in the books description on Goodreads/amazon/etc and on Melissa’s website.

DAGGERMOUTH by H.M Wolfe ❤️‍🔥 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - This book was absolutely phenomenal, from the start to the very last line. I have been consumed by this story, its relevancy, its cadence and its impact. A poignant piece of writing that is so perfectly captivating and powerful. I am utterly obsessed, this is my whole personality right now.

I’ve never been huge in to Dark Romance but I felt like trying something new and when I saw this starting to blow up I knew I wanted to jump right on top of the bandwagon. Please do yourself a favour and dive in to this book headfirst because it deserves all the hype and flowers it is currently getting.

Guys ... This book was one of my top faves from last year. I had so many highlighted quotes from this book. I just absolutely fell in love with this story, the characters, and Graves' writing. I really need to pick up another book by this author. And if you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it. As always, make sure to check triggers.

I already had one edition, and as we all know, it didn't sport the kinda character art I desire. This edition is right here. @janedark_7 Did an amazing job on that cover, and I'm absolutely in love.

I'm so happy I was able to snag one of these durning Embers over stock sale. I went for one book but ended up with 4 total.🙈 I'll be sharing the others shortly. This was my first Embers order, and it was shipped within the time line given and was packaged well. The quality is also 👌. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on Embers for possible future extra buys.

I think my all-time favorite quote for this book would have to be one at 99% ... however, I won't give you that one, so enjoy this one instead. 🥰

“For you? I’ll burn it all.” - 53%

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️♾️

This is one of those stories that has irrevocably altered my brain chemistry. Book 2 in The Eating Woods trilogy is a perfect testament to dark, gothic fantasy romance. Following Anathema, Eldritch gives us so much insight into Zevander and Maevyth and I quite literally couldn’t love them more if I tried.

It’s rare that I love the FMC as much as the MMC, but this book is an exception. Maevyth is EVERYTHING. She’s strong, brave even when she’s scared, loyal, smart, and absolutely perfect for Zevander. And speaking of Zevander? He’s everything we look for in a tortured, broody, powerful, sarcastic, beautiful, burn-the-world-for-her MMC.

There are incredibly dark themes throughout this book (mind your trigger warnings), but Keri handles them with grace.

Enjoy just a handful of my 126 highlighted quotes…
(some in caption, others in slides with gorgeous character art - 𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘥)

“I may lack experience, but I don’t lack the capacity to choose for myself. And I don’t appreciate the implication that I am some helpless damsel so easily lured by the wolf.”

“No one has ever offered to destroy the world for me.”
“I’m nothing if not fiendishly and soullessly chivalrous.”

“I’m not leaving you, either, Zevander. Whatever this is that you’re suffering, I’m with you.”

“Every piece of him that Maevyth touched had been rewritten into something he didn’t recognize. Something that felt like an unraveling, a faltering grip of the man he used to be. A corrupted soul not yet beyond redemption.”

“The pain of wanting you is like f***ing blades in my chest.”

“He couldn’t help himself. Refusing to look at her was like trying not to look at a star captured in the palm of his hand.”

“Then, I suspect if I were the flame, it’s your touch that would make me tremble.”

“Show me everything. I want to see every part of you. Even the darkest.”

“I will never be worthy of your light, the purity of your heart, but I’m too selfish to spare you from this darkness I carry. Godsblood, I would follow you to the edge of existence and into the black void.”
“You are worthy.”
