A few weeks ago, my friend, through yet another connection that came from my brick and mortar shop, @janellebendycki went to the park to play around with the blooms.   We both had strange experiences with the astro weather, but everything felt so easy and in flow with our conversation. Janelle had come to our very intimate Field of the Resonant Heart with @middlesistertarot where each guest received a white rose.

Janelle kept her rose for whatever reason, and had the stem in water. Weeks and weeks after the event, she showed me a photo of the rose - it had new growth.

It is not lost on me that there is immense pain and sadness in the world because of human-caused violence. How do we live in the world with love, enjoy the flowers or be creative at a time like this?
 The way I think of it is that it is always ‘a time like this’ for someone. Should we turn away from that which gives us life, breathes joy through us, that which relaxes our nerves, we will run out of fuel to create anything new.

It doesn’t feel right to me to pretend something isn’t happening, nor does it feel right (to me) to spend all my waking attention and energy in one direction. To me that feels like a formula for burnout and making something singular your identity… which again, feels unsustainable.

Hope you will join me for whatever offering feels right and true to your heart. Hope you will find the courage to live in your heart and that I will too, and that my hypothesis that change is inevitable proves to be true for all the ways we participate in stories that do not honor life.
