Our fabulous art group created a gorgeous show! 4 painters and 2 potters set up the show at the Artsea Art Gallery in Sidney last night. Open every day for one week 10-4 with an artist reception Saturday October 24 from 2-4 we will all be there so drop by and say hi, see the show and meet everyone! (I’m there from 3-4 and all day Sunday) @marcelastrasdas is the host today 🤗 ❤️

Artsea gallery is at Tulista Park in Sidney. So go vote ✅ and drop by after 😊

I’m in love with linoprinting! Carving out the image is only the first part, here is the second part. I mixed up this gorgeous purple ink, used a brayer to spread it in a few thin layers on the linocut - and then used my new mini printing press to create this a gorgeous print! Each print is hand done in exactly this manner, so they are all one-of-a-kind. (Some turn out, some don’t 😬, it’s a learning process). I’m loving it 😃.

My new linoprints will be available for the first time - along with LOTS of my west coast paintings - at this weekend’s @hills_to_shore_artists Studio Tour: Sat May 9 + Sun May 10. What a perfect way to spend Mother’s Day weekend 🩷🌸🎨 … I’ll be at Location 8 - at the lovely home of Janet Anderson @janetspaintedlife and her stunning floral paintings. 😍 I am soooo in love with this one! Every once in a while, I paint a scene that I know I will have a very hard time letting go of - and this is one of them. I always fall a little in love with each painting as I’m creating it, but this one I have fallen head over heels for.

It’s from a photo I took last summer - a misty overcast morning, no surf so we weren’t in the water. Instead we went to Florencia Bay, part of the Pacific Rim National Park, and went for a long walk. The mist shrouded trees were so ethereal and beautiful … This painting helps me feel like I am there right now 💚💙

It will make its public debut at the upcoming @hills_to_shore_artists Studio Tour, happening May 9 + 10! I’ll be at Location 8, sharing space with @janetspaintedlife and her beautiful floral paintings. Be sure to stop by for a visit!
