2021. The year of “Grace”. Pt 1.

My sweet friend @nataschamyers always has a “word of the year” that she tries to live by throughout that year. In 2021 I decided to adopt her little tradition and focus on making it my year of “grace”. I tried to be sweeter to myself. Had to cancel a write because you just needed to take a beat? It’s okay. Missed the gym because you were making memories with your friends until 4:00AM? Enjoy it. Took approximately 5-7 business days to answer an email? Life happens. We all run at 7 million miles an hour. It’s okay to slow down and enjoy your life and your moments. The people that truly love you and support you will understand, and the ones that don’t (as painful as it may be) aren’t worth your energy to please. That’s one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in 2021. Life is short, it’s messy, it’s chaotic, and it’s so blissfully sweet if you let it be. I hope you all had the greatest year. We are only moving onto bigger and better things in 2022 🥳

4 years in nashville. Somehow that doesn’t feel real. So much in my life has changed in the last 4 years. Some things were incredible experiences that I will always hold close and others were growing pains that allowed for better things to come. I look back on that girl who moved here in whatever her Kia would hold and I’m so proud of how far she’s come. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than to share this amazing video @reeves_media took of us at @thebasementnash back in July. Here’s to a lifetime in music city, cuz we’re just getting started ♥️

Still trying to wrap my head around Wednesday. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who bought a ticket and came out and sang with us. Nashville is a weird and amazing city in so many ways and I loved being able to see all of that energy in one room ♥️ thank you @nashvilletourstop for always putting on a hell of a show and believing in the music. Let’s do it again sometime 🤠
