The world needs a better story. Let’s go tell it.

In a few days, I’ll have a wife. There were only ever two options for our wedding: a mountain top or an island. And honestly, I’m afraid of heights.

Such a sweet and intimate morning of coming together to learn about what it looks like to BEAR MORE FRUIT in every aspect of our lives.

Grateful to all of our incredible partners for helping to create such a special place for people from all walks of life and relationships to come and be cared for.

“Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” -John 15:2

This week, Kids Bible Club looked a little different. We moved from Monday to Friday because we had special guests from @mercyshorechurch in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina come serve with us.

They were such a precious group of students who loved on our kids and truly gave them the very best day.

Before the kids even arrived, the girls jumped right in and tackled our storage closet, which was no small job. It looks amazing now, and we are so thankful for their hard work!

Once the kids got here, it was full speed ahead. We played games, colored, painted nails, spent time out on the field and basketball court, had worship, enjoyed bubble machines and a piñata, and just had an all around incredible day together.

Our kids also got to enjoy cupcakes and Easter treat baskets from Denise Montgomery, filled with swirly straws, stickers, small toys, and candy. It was such a special surprise and they loved every bit of it!

After everything wrapped up, we got to sit and talk about the heart behind Young America. It was such a blessing to share the mission and vision of why we do what we do each week with people who truly get it and share that same heart.
Mercy Shore, we are so thankful for you. We would love to have you come back and serve with us again anytime! 🤍

Happy Easter from mine to yours ♥️

“He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken. It will be said on that day, "Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation."”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭25:8-9‬

spent last week in nash with some of the coolest most amazing students ever.

watching them step out of their comfort zone, love those who don’t look or live like them, and serve the least of these was truly so inspiring. they played hard, worked hard, and worshiped even harder. i went on the trip as a leader expecting to pour into these kids, but in reality, seeing their hearts break for what breaks God’s changed me.

i love you guys a whole lot and and i’m so so proud of you all. till next year.

btw, red team best team.

Oh man. We’re all exhausted and sore and 6 hours into the -way too long- drive home but I’m looking back at this incredible week with such a full heart. I love doing life with these people and I’m so grateful we got to come and serve and play and worship and just love on others. He is so, so good.

On Sunday, pastor Jared shared his childhood memory of his cape-wearing-blue-rope-swinging-invincible-5-year-old self. He reminded us of a time when it was easier to just believe.
