Happy birthday my darling @jamiekingfit !!!! Bestie (of over 11 years) and sister wife (of only about 4 or so 😆😆😆)… the one I love to hate and blame for making me do hard things (like running up hills and mountains climbers) and then we proceed to blame them on each other… the one who will binge watch love is blind with me and then fill out MY application… the one who shows the fuck up 🥹… the one who makes epic at-home lattes… the one who’s laugh is so freaking contagious, AND I can cry to over the big and stupid stuff… the one who gave me my first nephew… the one who I can look at and we know we’re thinking the same (sometimes snarky) thing… the one who also stared daggers at the certain someone who ate Doritos very loudly during the most dramatic part of a beef episode… the one who does and epic worm on the dance floor… the one with whom curling up on the couch with wine feels like home…

I love you so much, Jame! Words can’t fully express it, but I always have to try 💕💕💕🥹🥹🥹😘😘

Last night felt like one of those nights I want to bottle up and keep forever.

An EPIC Texas vs. Ohio State game, on our anniversary, in the city that raised us. 🤘

My husband went to UT. My brother went to UT. My parents went to UT. My grandparents went to UT. I was invited to speak to all the male athletes at UT with @protecther.

And some of my earliest memories are of being a little girl watching Texas football, surrounded by people I loved, rooting for a team that somehow always felt like part of our family.

And now, after years away, we’re home.

There was something strangely emotional about sitting in that stadium last night, screaming for the same team I grew up cheering for, next to the man I love, on our anniversary.

Because I think sometimes you have to leave home to understand what home actually means.

It’s not just a place. It’s the traditions you didn’t realize you missed. The familiar songs. The people. The history. The things woven so deeply into you that you don’t even notice them until you come back.

And now we get to raise our boys here. They get to grow up with these traditions and this community and this wonderfully ridiculous Texas pride. 😂 They get to make their own memories in a place that holds so many of ours.

Last night Texas came back from 23–3 in the fourth quarter to beat #1 Ohio State 24–23, so apparently Austin also decided to throw us a completely unhinged anniversary party.

Couldn’t have scripted it better.

Happy anniversary, babe. Happy to be home.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of moderating a panel on Building Spaces that Heal—centered around creating environments and ecosystems where purpose, performance, and profitability can thrive.

We discussed the importance of sustainable ambition, balancing purpose with performance, and leading through change with empathy, clarity, and human-centered connection.

As someone who geeks out on all things organizational leadership and workplace well-being, it filled my heart in so many ways.

What are we optimizing for in youth sports?
- Winning early? - Scholarships? - Travel teams?
 Or confidence, resilience, leadership, and staying in the game long enough to actually develop?

Are both possible?

The stats say that most kids quit by age 13.
And yet every year the pressure, cost, and intensity keep rising.

This week I found myself asking parents a simple question about participation trophies and participation feedback — and it led to fascinating conversations on the sidelines.

It also led me somewhere bigger.

I wrote about it in today’s @yoptioncfb newsletter — diving into development, quitting rates, coaching standards, and whether the youth sports bubble is about to burst.

Everything’s bigger in Texas… including our Longhorns experience. 🤘🏽🔥

I don’t even watch football, yet got to experience pre- and post-game field access, front-row views of the “holy-wow” athlete warm-ups, and a crash course in Texas football spirit (basically its own religion).

Jared, thanks for treating us like royalty. You are the true MVP. The best kind of human and friend. Warning: I may be insufferable about this moving forward (I did come home with a Texas Longhorns scrunchie, after all…) 🧡🏈 @texasfootball 🤘🏽
