Cover Drop for our September issue with sensational singer @sonnarele 📸 We are so proud of gorgeous girl for her insane performance on @thevoiceuk 2026 The judges loved her performance as much as us as one chair turned. Then another. Then another! Proud moment for our girl with her phenomenal performance. What viewers saw was a brilliant vocalist taking on Mariah Carey’s My All. What they could not see was that @sonnarele had been forced to step away from performing entirely, after being diagnosed with a rare inner-ear condition that amplified sound around ten times. She could hear her own heartbeat, her eye movements, conversations through walls. Brain surgery was on the table. She spent three months working with sound and frequencies, and found her way back to the stage. That journey now shapes the music itself. Her new single I Am is an affirmation song about healing and self-love. “I feel like we’re all on a healing journey. We all need a bit of love, light and positivity in this kind of world that we’re trying to navigate.” She has sung for Disney, worked with Ne-Yo, performed at Wembley holding both the British and Indian flags, and is now through to the next round with Team will.i.am, alongside a judging role on Britain’s Next Superstar. Her one regret about the early years? “I think I would have had more fun.
