I still can't stop thinking about the Harlem Fine Arts Show, and how inspiring it was! Ever since the show I've been bursting with inspiration, creative energy, ideas, and a burning desire to CREATE. I'm so grateful for the amazing people I met, and the talented artists I got to share this experience with. ✨ So now what? New paintings coming soon! So watch out! 💕 So proud of @diaspora_ct

OMGoddess! My Book is 1 year old today!!! Available at Jasleni.com 💜

I remember last year having all of these plans for a big book release party, a book tour, and all the products I wanted to sell with illustrations from the book...BUT the pandemic made other plans for me. So I put 143 on a shelf and instead focused on my branding and web design business.

Now that a whole year has passed, I see that things happened exactly as they were meant to. I see I wasn't really ready to give 143 the love that it deserved when I published it. Honestly, this book is as close as you can get to browsing through the most difficult pages of my journal, and in many ways it was a purging of sorts for me. I wrote this book as a way to let go of my deepest heartbreaks to make room for healing.

A year later, flipping through the pages of 143, I am filled with joy and a sense of accomplishment. It's a truly beautiful book and I am so proud of myself for having the courage to create it, publish it, and allow it to carry the weight of moments too heavy for who I am becoming.

Over the next few weeks I'll share poems, insight about the artwork inside, and much more. In the meantime, get your copy of 143 by clicking on the link in my bio. And for those of you who read it and messaged me about your own wounds, I want you to know I acknowledge you, and wish you immense healing and love. 💜🌿📖
