Psalm 127 gives us a powerful picture of parenting:

“Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.” — Psalm 127:4–5

Our children are the arrows. Our home is the quiver. And for a season, God places those arrows in our hands.

But arrows weren’t made to stay in the quiver.
As parents, our job is to shape them, straighten them, aim them in the right direction, and eventually release them. We’re not raising children simply to keep them close—we’re raising them to become men and women who will make an impact for the Kingdom of God.

And that’s what makes parenting so bittersweet: one day, the quiver will be empty.

So while they’re still under your roof, don’t wish the season away. Be present. Be intentional. Point them toward Jesus.

Enjoy the arrows while they’re still in the quiver. 🏹

Pastors, I’m begging you: STOP 🛑 introducing your videos like you’re opening the 9:00 service. 😂

“What’s up, [random action verb] Church! Pastor Chad here and we’ve got an exciting announcement…”

Respectfully:

Nobody asked who you were, and they don’t care.

You have about two seconds to convince someone not to keep scrolling.

Use them wisely.

Don’t start with your name.
Don’t start with your title.
Don’t start with “we’re so excited.”
And please don’t start with “I just wanted to jump on here real quick…”

START WITH THE HOOK.

Instead of:

“We’re excited to announce our Easter services…”

Try:

“If you live in Fort Worth and don’t have Easter plans yet, watch this.”

Now I have a reason to listen.

Your name can come next.
Your church can come next.
The announcement can come next.

Attention comes first.

I’m giving pastors a hard time because I love the Church, and I want the content we’re creating to actually reach people.

🛑 Stop introducing your videos.

🔥Start earning attention.

Send this to a pastor you know who just did this. 😜

One of the clearest tests of friendship isn’t how someone responds when you’re SUFFERING. It’s how they respond when you’re SUCCEEDING.

Senior Sunday!
It's my first Senior Sunday post for Mac, and it felt appropriate to acknowledge all that he accomplished last fall in his junior year of football. Mac has shown such discipline, commitment, and grit throughout his years of playing football. But last year was special. His hard work paid off. Mac earned Class 6A All-State honors and was named 6A West Defensive Player of the Year. He also received the Brandon Burlsworth Player of the Game award during the 6A State Championship after defeating Greenwood. (It was during this game that he broke his nose, came out of the game to clean up, and went back in to play through to the end.) In addition, Mac's hard work last season led to him being named to the 2026 Hooten's Arkansas Football Class 6A Super Team.
I'm so inspired by Mac and excited for his new season of football as a senior in the class of 7A.
Mac, I am so proud of you and am always cheering you on. Let's go! I love you!!

We are 23! Happy anniversary to my hubby. I love you more today than the day we got married. You are the man of my dreams and have always inspired me with your tenacity, self-discipline, and perseverance. But these past few months you have proven just how strong you really are. I'm so proud to be your wife. Thank you for leading our kids and me in all the right ways. You are our hero, and I am so thankful to live this life with you!

Back to school for the Kimbrows! They all had a great first day back. ♥️
I really can't believe my firstborn is a senior. I've got all the emotions about it...excitement for all that this school year will bring, shock that it's actually happening, sadness that this year will be many "lasts" with Mac, pride in who he has become, and mostly, gratitude that we get him for another school year. I'm planning to soak it all in and enjoy. 🥹
Mac and Pierce hit their first day hard with a full day of school, add in football practice. They are ready for some Shiloh football!
Eve started her final year as a middle school student and enjoyed getting to practice cheer and volleyball during the actual school hours.
Knox showed up to a surprise breakfast from his sweet teacher—and managed to pull his own tooth in class. 😆
Praying over these kids daily and believing for a great year for them! Love them so much!

UPDATE FROM PASTOR JASON

Legacy Church Family,

It’s hard to believe how quickly this summer has flown by. For me, this summer has looked a little different than I expected. Most of you know I was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma. Over the last couple of months, I’ve intentionally taken some time away from preaching to rest, spend time with my family, find the right doctors, ask a lot of questions, and focus on my health.

I’ve been following a pretty strict protocol, making some significant changes, and doing everything I know to do to give my body the best opportunity to heal and get stronger. Most importantly, I’ve been trusting God every step of the way. Ashley has been right by my side, and I’m blessed to have a wife that is so strong and supportive.

And I want you to know—I’m doing well, I’m encouraged, and I’m incredibly grateful.
Thank you for praying for me and our family. Thank you for the texts, calls, meals, encouragement, and for giving me the grace this summer to step back and focus on getting healthy. I don’t take any of it for granted.

I’m also incredibly thankful for our team and everyone who has stepped up and served Legacy so faithfully this summer. One of the greatest gifts of this season has been seeing again that the Church was never built around one person. Jesus is building His Church, and Legacy is strong.

That being said…I’m ready to preach again.

This Sunday, I’ll be back at Legacy, opening God’s Word with our church family, and I couldn’t be more excited.

I’ve missed preaching. I’ve missed seeing all of you. And I believe God is using this season to do something in me that I can share from.
So if you’ve been traveling, busy with summer, or just out of your normal rhythm, this is a great Sunday to come home.

I believe the best days for Legacy Church are still ahead of us, and I can’t wait to see what God does in this next season.

I’ll see you Sunday!

Pastor Jason

Happy birthday to my favorite! I am so grateful for you and the life we have together. You are a gift to me, to our children, and to so many others who know and love you. I've always known you are awesome, but walking beside you these past two months have inspired me even more. You are strong, wise, steadfast, and determined. And you possess all of it with quiet humility. You are our hero, and we celebrate you! We are so thankful for your life and look forward to so many more years celebrating you!

Loved celebrating @garrettmatsuyama’s 40th! This guy is so easy to celebrate and so deeply loved. We had the best time preparing for this party and then getting to enjoy every minute of it surrounded by our favorite people.

I’ll never forget the roast and toast—it was meaningful, encouraging, and absolutely hilarious. And if you know Garrett, you know the funniest stories are always the ones about him, so hearing everyone share memories and celebrate him made the night unforgettable. Love you babe! Cheers to 40!!🎉🎉
