🇹🇭 Bangkok, you were wonderful! ❤️ Maggie and the crew have hit the shelves in Thailand so if you’re quick you can grab a signed copy at the amazing @kinokuniyath 📚🤗 It was such an honour to meet the team at Kinokuniya Books and explore the terrific bookshop - complete with a little tunnel into the expansive children’s section! Afterwards we hit the streets and it was HOT HOT HOT (a real feel of 43 degrees!) but we made sure to cool down with a mango sticky rice or two (maybe three but who’s counting!?) What an adventure! 🌏🗺️🤗

Maggie and the crew hit the Alps - not so much around the 🌎 as on top of it! 🤗 I always get asked the one place I would go back to again and again, and for me the answer is the Alps. There’s something magical about this part of the world and I don’t even ski! Luckily I had a couple of people with me to take the book for a spin down the mountain* while I had fun imagining how the crew would ski given the chance! Maggie and Valentine would be up front, followed by the precise perfection of Mr Fogg, and Passepartout would get down the mountain on his face or his bum - very much like me!
*Videos and photos were taken safely and responsibly and out of everyone’s way! Thank you to the brilliant skiers Poppy and Jason for their expertise and excellent camerawork from Bethan!!

All of my dreams came true yesterday - The Girl Who Raced the World came off the printing press and I was able to hold a copy for the very first time! For someone who loves words, I’m finding it impossible to describe the feeling other than to say it was one of the best days of my life. It was made even more special thanks to my adventure crew, my parents and husband, who were with me every step the way. I might be biased but it really is a stunning book - just wait until you see it in all its glory!

I’m so incredibly grateful to everyone at @claysltd and @piccadilly.press for making the most beautiful book I have ever seen and making my heart so full. Huge thanks from my entire family - the memories you made for us yesterday will last a lifetime 🥰🤩🥹

Also I sneakily signed a few copies and popped them back on the line so if you get one, please let me know, I’d love to see where they find a home!

What a trip that was! From our first visit in 1988 to our latest trip, Singapore 🇸🇬 never disappoints. A perfect destination to celebrate @patitude01 special birthday - and the added bonus of Singapore’s 60th anniversary and National Day! Also got some book love in there too 🤗📚🌎
