This was probably the hardest award to give out. But I’m giving my #Mets Gold Glove award to Jeff McNeil. He played multiple positions in both the infield and outfield, providing tons of value all around. The metrics for this were hard to compare with the other Mets, because he played so many different positions. But he’s extremely valuable with the glove and he’s going to be one of the most important players for the Mets in the future. Who do you think should’ve gotten Gold Glove? Comment below! #LGM

My #Mets Reliever of The Year goes to Seth Lugo! He was absolutely dominant all year long, and he was one of the few reliable relievers out of the Mets pen. There wasn’t many bad days when he came out of the pen, despite pitching with a partially torn UCL. When he’s on, he’s got the stuff to be a top reliever in this sport. I don’t want him back in the rotation in 2020 however, I feel that would take away from the already weak bullpen. What are your thoughts on Seth Lugo? #LGM

Does this come as any surprise? My #Mets Rookie of the Year AND MVP go to Pete Alonso (@pistol_pete20)! He was absolutely insane all year, and it just seemed like he kept getting better. The 2019 Home Run Derby winner also broke Aaron Judge’s 2017 rookie record for home runs in a season. He went from a “maybe” on Opening Day, with rumors the Mets would keep him down for service time, to Mets MVP in a matter of 6 months. He’s probably going to win the actual NL Rookie of the Year as well. Maybe Pete can crack 60 dingers next year! What do you think about Pete Alonso’s first MLB season? I think he shattered expectations. #LGM

For my first 2019 #Mets award, I’m naming Jacob DeGrom the Cy Young! This was an obvious choice, he was dominant all year yet again. Despite having his quality start streak snapped in April, he went on to have another ridiculous season. Although not quite as good as his 2018 season, he was still a top tier pitcher in the league. In fact, I think he goes back to back and wins the actual NL Cy Young in 2019. What do you think? Will DeGrom repeat with another award? #LGM
