Wales Screen Summit 2025 - what a wild ride!

When @emyrafan called me and asked me to produce this year’s summit, I jumped at the chance to be back in the industry I love so much after 9 months away travelling. But I couldn’t quite predict what a brilliant, exhausting, fulfilling and invaluable experience I was about to have.

To see it all come together over the last two days has made me so proud of the Wales Screen sector, of everyone who helped put it together, and of myself 😬😬😬

There are tonnes of thank yous to say and so much that goes into an event like this that I’m not sure one post is going to cover it - a few honourable mentions coming in 🔥

A huge diolch yn fawr to our summit host @steffanpowell who was just an absolute DREAM to work with and kept everyone entertained and informed throughout.

To @naomiormonde91 my summit sister and the calm in any stormy moment. The epitome of the saying ‘if you want to get something done, ask a busy woman’. You’ve earned that holiday you flippin legend 💛

To my session producers: @lathorp2.0 @mespley @scott_dewey @osiandavieslitt Tim Wilson, Jack Carey, Jo Pearce, @caidmorgan Paul Wood, @_eoghanharkin - thanks for the busy people wrangling and excellent content that kept everyone engaged and inspired.

To the team at Afanti Media and Orchard for making the whole shebang a reality. It was amazing to walk in on Tuesday morning and think - woah, we have an event!

To our generous sponsors and to the 150+ speakers including @jordanschwarz @ketnipz @teamevemyles @jasonyatescreative who packed the schedule with compelling content and were just so wonderful to work with - and of course, the comms teams that got them there!

And a HUGE shout out to my love @jmtsiac who endured the ‘bring your hubby to work’ experience for two days to promote @screenstormgames and @theawkwardchannel - I don’t know what I’d do without you 🩵

It’s back to running awkward studios for me, with loads of exciting things to come... but for now - sleep! 😴

Diolch o galon! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
