Jinseo Park’s thesis collection, Bring the Bright Future, explores hope, resilience, and the belief that brighter days emerge after periods of uncertainty. Drawing inspiration from the 2024 Korean candlelight vigil, the French Revolution era, and late 19th-century Korean heritage, the collection celebrates femininity through couture craftsmanship and thoughtful storytelling. Natural dye techniques using yulpi, pomegranate, and black beans evoke the glow of candlelight, while delicate beading, flower smocking, and organic voluminous silhouettes visualize hope after chaos. Rooted in Jinseo’s Korean background, elements such as the Dangui are reinterpreted in modern couture forms, creating a collection that bridges heritage, optimism, and meticulous garment construction.

In this edition of SCAN, we invite you all to join us as we experience the interworkings of our artists’ minds and bodies. By exploring how we connect to ourselves and the world around us, this work captures the moments between control and surrender which can quickly blur our sense of reality.

You can find our Fall 2025 edition at scadscan.com to experience the artistry that comes from the skilled hands and creative minds of our @scaddotedu students!

PART 2 Cryptic Clues BTS!!
It’s been an amazing journey, we are in the depths of Post-Production right now and I’m so excited to share this story with everyone!!
Just like Bigfoot, you gotta see it to believe it!
Once again, thank you to EVERYONE who helped with this project and supported me along the way!
SPECIAL SHOUTOUT to my DP for taking a tumble and deciding to be carried down the hill, against better judgement! We wouldn’t have a film without you!

Our head producer and BTS photographer! Jordan was born and raised in Washington DC and now splits his time between home and school in Atlanta. Having an interesting in art and technology, he combined the two into his studies of Photography and Art History. He joins the project with a concentration in documentary photography and a knack for storytelling to bring to life this narrative of a close friend’s family history.

Still pinching myself over @thehumminggrows world premiere at @romefilm, where we won the Sylvia Award for Best Latin Short!
It was a surreal experience watching our film on the big screen in both the ‘Georgia After Dark Shorts’ and ‘Latin Shorts’ blocks.
And seeing our powerhouse lead, @karate.jewels, on the ‘A Conversation with Jewelianna Ramos Ortiz’ panel, sharing her inspiring journey was beyond words.
I’m so grateful to be part of this project with such an extraordinary team of artists who poured their souls into every moment. Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it.
