POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
THEY'RE FINALLY HERE!

We've been waiting for this day...

After months of sketching, swatching, knitting, testing, Zoom calls, countless cups of coffee, and yes... some 🐸 frogging... we're incredibly proud to release all five patterns from the Vega Cohort!

FREE to download. 🔗 Link in bio.

Inspired by Vega World Heritage and the story of declining seabirds, five designers from around the world have transformed science, culture and conservation into knitwear.

🧶 The Eider House Hat, by Alanis Thorney
🧶 Seabird Shawlette, by Sydney O'Shaughnessy
🧶 Vega Gansey, by Jean Long
🧶 Eider Duck Tee, by Isabel Vique
🧶 Vega Dialogues Wrap, by Lucila Castaño

At Knit for Wildlife, we believe every finished garment can become a conversation starter.

A hat. A sweater. A wrap. A shawlette. A tee.

Each one carries the story of Vega, its remarkable eider tradition, and why seabirds need our attention. That's how we bring wildlife and ocean literacy into everyday life.

Now it's your turn.

Be among the first to cast on the collection. We hope you'll love the patterns as much as we do. Please share your finished knit by tagging @knitforwildlife. Every project helps these stories travel a little further.

First Edition: If you spot an error or have suggestions, we'd love to hear from you. Your feedback will help improve future editions.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible designers, everyone who has followed this journey, our partners and to the @unoceandecade for recognising "Knit for Wildlife" as an endorsed Ocean Decade activity. Together, we're exploring how knitting can work as a Trojan horse for wildlife literacy.

This is just the beginning.
