It is almost impossible to find words to describe this season, but i’m going to try my best!

I never realized drum corps could be so enjoyable, or that it could be so easy to find other people like me in this activity. going into spring training, i was so terrified. i was so scared that i wasn’t going to be good enough, or that people weren’t going to like me. i was so so wrong. i found so many friends at mandarins. this is truly my family. i am so lucky to have so many people around to support me, especially when I was having a really hard time. i am also so lucky to have such an amazing staff that believed in me every single one of those 77 days.

I am so thankful for Nick and Alec, it made it so much more fun since I was able to march with friends I had marched with before! I am especially thankful for Alec for being there when I had a really hard time the first week of spring training and so thankful for letting me annoy you all season (even though you are more annoying than me staples 😋😋)!!

I am also so thankful for this amazing show, which truly is so personal to me. Before the summer, i was in a pretty bad spot. I struggled a lot and there were a lot of things holding me back from succeeding. After coming back home, I am a much more confident person who is now in TWO top five color guards! I could not be more proud of our guard, and also myself. I have rediscovered my love for flag, which i thought I would never love again. I’m finally able to do things that I didn’t think I would be able to do before!! I worked so hard this summer to be a better person, not just skill wise but also you know, as a person. I feel like my hard work has paid off and it feels so rewarding.

I am so thankful for this summer, and i probably will continue to post sappy things, but i tried my best to put what i felt into words for this post. I am so excited to be back next year and be apart of all the amazing mandarins will do! OTK OTKK YAY!!!!! 🐉🩵
