On December 7th, after about 3 months of being on the road and traveling Central America, the pups & I crossed the border back to the states! The pups visited their 9th country on this trip, and they were the best boy & girl a dog mom could ask for. We spent many grooling hours on the road to see so many new places, and some familiar places and faces. What a treat to visit one of my favorite places - Antigua, but with the pups, this time around. Siri also got to visit her motherland - Chihuahua! I always promised her I would take her to go see where her roots come from. They got to swim in some new lakes, see some new volcanoes and ruins, and we ended the trip with hitting up Prada Marfa & Big Bend on the way back! This trip was not easy. It was real, it was fun, but I can’t say it was real fun. The good outweighed the bad. We had many unexpected emergencies and issues with border crossings - got stuck in Guatemala and Mexico quite a bit longer than we wanted to, and had to visit the US Embassy to try and sort some things out. It truly was a once in a lifetime trip for us, as I can’t say I recommend anybody do it, and I certainly will not venture on this Pan-American roadtrip again. Costa Rica definitely holds a special place in my heart, as that is where we spent a good chunk of this trip visiting friends and exploring. These are some of our favorite moments midway through our month in CR and the drive back. We are happy to be back home and safe in the states. And we’re planning on staying put for awhile. ✌️

Living a big life comes with its highs and lows. ❤️‍🩹

Uncertainty can create anxiety and worry. 🥵

Evolving and expanding create tension and doubt sometimes. 🤯

Best way I have found to manage these things is with a great friend, good libation, and a no fail shimmie to change the energy!!💃🏻🕺🏼

From North Carolina to Costa Rica and everywhere in between.🗺️

Thanks to @jay4duke for always bringing the shimmie! 🫶
Cheers to new ventures and adventures? 🥂
