What if the most courageous thing you could do was stop waiting for someone else to make you feel safe? “I am learning not to abandon myself while waiting for someone else to make life feel safe.” These words from @jayashri.life really stayed with me. Jayashri is an artist, entrepreneur and spiritual seeker whose life has taken her through some extraordinary transitions, from growing up in foster care and being adopted to losing her husband after 27 years of marriage and learning to open her heart to love again. In this month's Art of Transition interview on my Substack, she shares beautifully and honestly about grief, belonging, creativity, spirituality and the courage to keep becoming. One of the things I particularly appreciate about Jayashri is that she doesn't pretend to have everything figured out. Instead, she shares what she's learning along the way, including how grief and joy can coexist, how creativity can help us navigate loss, and how letting go can sometimes be an act of love. There's so much wisdom here, particularly for those of us navigating the changing identities and unexpected invitations of midlife and beyond. 🌙 The full interview is now live on my Substack and you can read it for free via my bio link 🔗

Another LA Ratha Yatra in the books! I've been attending this festival ever since I moved to SoCal in 2002, and it never stops filling my heart. So grateful to spend the day with so many of my nearest and dearest, chanting and dancing down the Venice Beach boardwalk. My heart is so full. Jai Jagannath!
