Introducing our faculty ✨ JAYDA BHINDER Hip Hop • Popping • Waacking Jayda Bhinder is a passionate dancer, performer, and choreographer who began dancing at the age of 6. She trained in a variety of styles, including Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Tap, and Hip Hop, before specializing in Hip Hop at the age of 10. Since then, Jayda has trained with top Hip Hop teachers locally and across Canada and the United States. Her movement vocabulary includes Waacking, Popping, Animation, Old School, and New School Hip Hop, and she has developed a strong presence in both the choreography and battle scenes. In 2022, Jayda placed Top 4 at the Red Bull Dance Your Style battle in Vancouver, earning her a spot at the Red Bull Nationals in Toronto. She has also competed and battled across North America, including at World of Dance Arizona, Monsters of Hip Hop, Versa-Style LA, 36 Chambers New York, and the Vancouver Street Dance Festival, among others. Jayda is also an accomplished performer and team dancer. She has found success with her team Megabots and her duo DJC, who had the incredible opportunity to compete on Season 2 of Canada’s Got Talent, where they wowed the judges with their skill and chemistry. Jayda has proudly represented Team Canada Hip Hop internationally. She competed in Denmark as a junior and returned to Team Canada Hip Hop in 2023, where her large group achieved 2nd place overall, while Jayda placed 10th in the world for Popping and Hip Hop Solo. Beyond performing and competing, Jayda has a passion for working with younger dancers and sharing her knowledge through choreography and training. With her diverse Hip Hop background and experience in both choreography and battles, she brings a unique perspective to her students. Jayda is excited to inspire, mentor, and help grow the next generation of Hip Hop dancers!

A look at one of our Season 8 video projects. ⚡️ Every year, our dancers come together to create choreography pieces that showcase the street dance styles we’ve been training all season. At Higher Ground, Popping, Hip Hop, and Breaking are the foundation of our training every season, while also exploring a variety of other street dance styles throughout the year. This piece was choreographed by one of our incredible Popping teachers Wesley @wazli_ . Some of our dancers came into this season with years of Popping experience, while for others it was their first time learning the style. No matter where they started, everyone committed to the process, pushed themselves, and grew. A huge shoutout to our other Popping GOAT, @brycekoebel , for sharing his knowledge, passion, and helping shape our dancers throughout the season. 2025–2026 RECAP ✨ As we wrap up another incredible dance season, our hearts are full of gratitude and pride. 💫 This year was filled with growth, hard work, unforgettable performances, and so many special memories. We are especially proud to celebrate our 6 graduating students and all they have accomplished. 🎓GRAD SPOTLIGHT 🎓 Celebrating our special graduate on his dance journey & sharing fond memories with the studio family! ✨ ABOUT YOU Name: LEVI WAGNER ✨ How many years have you danced at the studio? • Dancing at Boogaloo for 9 years 👟 YOUR DANCE JOURNEY What styles have you trained in? ☐ Hip Hop My favourite style is Popping, but my favourite class has always been Blackout — or Deuces/ Boogie Monsters 🌟 MEMORIES & INSPIRATION One of your favorite studio memories: • Looking back, there’s no way to choose just one favourite memory. I remember dancing in my basement every week during COVID and competing for the first time with no audience. I remember all the effort we put into the bubble tea festival and how proud we were of our performances. Of course, I also remember performing with Royal Family, which was a huge step for many of us into the dance community. As great and memorable as all of those moments were, if I had to choose one favourite memory, it would honestly be the younger versions of all of us. Seeing how much everyone (including myself) has grown over the years has been the most meaningful part of it all. ✨ Who has inspired or supported you most throughout your dance journey? • While I’ve had many supportive friends and teachers throughout the years, Jenna has been inspiring and pushing me for nearly half my life. As a coach, mentor, and now someone I’d consider a friend, she continues to encourage me to grow as a dancer. Honourable mentions also go to Mary and Jayda, who have helped me learn so much over the past few years. ✨ What is something dance has taught you? • Dance has taught me that things won’t always come easy, and most of the time taking initiative is more effective than riding the wave. 🎭 PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS Favorite competition is Rukus Dance Competition @rukusstreetdance 🎓 WHAT’S NEXT? Plans after graduation: ☐ College/University 💖 WORDS OF WISDOM • Don’t under estimate yourself, if you want to achieve something try and try again.
