The Most F*cked Up Thing

What’s the worst thing that’s happened in America since Donald Trump won reelection?
For many, what’s most disturbing isn’t just what’s happening. It’s how openly it’s happening.

🎤 Now I’m asking YOU: What has disturbed you most since Trump returned to the White House?

Nolan Wells did not drown. ✊🏾

We denounce the continued presence of Strange Fruit in this country. We reject any narrative that suggests Black people simply hang themselves, especially when questions surrounding a death remain unanswered.

We demand that the investigation into the death of Nolan Wells be reopened and that the truth be pursued with the urgency and transparency it deserves.

Let this serve as both a statement and a warning:

In the AUC, we fight back.

Yesterday I was elected President of the College Democrats of Georgia at the YDG Convention in Columbus, Georgia 🍑

I was excited seeing so many fresh faces there, and getting to talk with each of the College Democratic chapters that I now have the pleasure of serving.

I want to give a big thanks to @matthewrakestraw and the rest of the 2025-2026 CDG Board for the laying the groundwork that will carry us successfully throught the 2026 midterm elections. Similarly, I'd like to thank the rest of my new board for their commitment to serving College Democrats across the state.

I would also like to give a big shout out to our new Young Dems President Élise Wade! She is such an excellent and dedicated organizer and I could not be more happy to be serving with her on the YDG Board of Directors.

I look forward to this November, because I know that we will be sending Democrats through the finish line across the state.

Lets get to work College Dems, we have a election to win!

WE WON
SPECIAL SESSION score card…
Democrats: 3 Republicans: 0

The Republican special session sought to dilute Black voting power, mandate hand recounts that would undermine confidence in our elections, and increase sales taxes in ways that would benefit wealthy homeowners while placing a greater burden on working people.

But on every front, the people prevailed.

These victories happened because voters made it clear that they were paying attention and holding the Governor’s Office, the House, and the Senate accountable for their actions. Public engagement matters, and collective action works.

Still, these wins are only temporary if we become complacent. Efforts to weaken Black political power and reshape our elections will return, and we must be prepared to meet them with the same determination.

Our responsibility is to stay informed, stay organized, and stay engaged. We must continue fighting for fair representation, free and accessible elections, and the responsible use of taxpayer dollars.

The struggle for democracy is not a moment. It is a movement.

Photographers Need Photos Too 📷

Camera men and women at Historically Black Colleges and Universities capture campus life and its students with remarkable creative expertise. Yet, their own personalities are often lost in the noise. Capturing these captivating creators gives a glimpse into their personalities and who they truly are.
