Another great weekend in live music! 🎶

I am grateful to have worked with @barnstorm.co at @countrycallingfest this year in @oceancitymaryland. From helping festivalgoers to working alongside the many crews that keep a large festival running, I saw firsthand the coordination, professionalism, and teamwork behind the scenes.

Live music is much more than what happens on stage. It takes dedicated teams across Guest Services, Operations, Production, and many other areas working together to create a successful experience for artists, staff, and fans.

Thank you to everyone on the team for a memorable weekend! ❤️

In the past week, Punk the Capital’s work was part of two swell events! This past Thursday @salisburyartgalleries we showed/discussed the film to/with students and some local SHORECORE people were in the house - it was a gas!!! Thanks to @jaymecivilian for putting the event together, @kaijurecords for spreading the word. The occasion was the Hard Art 1979 exhibit up till mid December - ck it out! And - last Sunday we showed our Unheard Music festival film @theatlantis_dc for the dc space reunion/benefit - hope to release it soon on our youtube channel ! Thx to @whitelisav and all.

One final hurrah (not that I’ve been here much in the first place). Link in bio to request a karaoke song (project coming soon) & join my newsletter.

I just reinstalled Human Resources, which feels aligned to exit strategies. This time it’s paradise blue (for the continued grief work). The video tutorials lead you in, but you may feel a poke in the rib, or a laugh could be released (if you’re not careful). You may feel it differently, like a gut punch you weren’t ready for. Maybe you’re holding on to see what everyone else in the room is doing. Or you’re unable to suppress your cackling laugh-cough (from the pneumonia) and then you belt out a long sigh that morphs into a yell-cry (those can feel good I think).

I made these videos last year, but they continue to land in all the ways, depending on where you are in your grief cycle (I’m been cycling a while as you may know). Info below. 👀 you on the blue app soon.

“Transformer DC is a conduit for the artist to connect with larger communities of people and potential supporters and audiences, and also for larger cultural institutions to connect with artists,” explains Reis, the organization’s Executive and Artistic Director since 2006.
