One important Point I forgot to make during today’s recording was to express gratitude to @mtbachelor for operations this year! I’ll be the first to admit i complained more than two should as It was a very challenging winter and yet more often than not, things seem to run incredibly smoothly. Plus opening up the mountain for touring during the early season was extra kind! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. On the morning of May 18, 1980, I was collecting cans in the park across the street from my childhood home in Spokane, Wa. I was saving up to buy a bmx bike. Suddenly I heard a dull boom that echoed across the hills. Amazingly enough, that was the sound of Mt St Helens erupting some 250 miles away!

Ever since, Mount Saint Helens has held a special place in my life, as an outdoor recreationalist as well as a photographer. I’ve had some of my most amazing days with a camera and with good friends either on the flank of the mountain itself or the hills surrounding it.
