Today, my reign as Miss Earth Ghana 2024 comes to an end.

As a little girl, I dreamt of a stage where I could speak, inspire and make a difference. That dream, nurtured through my childhood experiences and love for nature, found the perfect expression in Miss Earth.

This journey has been one of growth, courage and gratitude. I’ve lived my purpose advocating for the environment, uplifting young girls and showing that dreams truly do come alive when passion meets opportunity.

Though the crown rests today, the mission continues.
I would like to say a very big thank you to the Miss Earth Ghana organization for giving me this wonderful platform

As a leader of an environmental advocacy movement, I believe in leading by example. That’s why I joined Auntie Justine @esomenenio_weavers , an incredible woman who has committed herself to empowering young women, especially Kayayei (head porters) or (young women who carry loads in the market) by teaching them how to turn waste into something meaningful and profitable.

I chose to learn these upcycling skills not just for myself, but so I can pass them on, impacting more women and creating a ripple effect of empowerment and sustainability.

These beautiful accessories we created were made entirely from BALE STRAP, a plastic material that is completely free and easily found at Kantamanto Market in Accra, the largest thrift fashion hub in West Africa. Ironically, these bale straps are also one of the biggest sources of waste and dirt in the market.

But with a little creativity and purpose, waste can become wealth.

As my project boldly declares:
“Waste to Purpose”, we can turn any trash around us into treasure.

Thank you @upcycleitghana for introducing me to this great initiative.

Let’s inspire change, one strap, one skill and one woman at a time.

One of the most fulfilling parts of this journey as Miss Earth Ghana has been welcoming my fellow Earth Queens to my home country🇬🇭

Our visit to Cape Coast and Elmina was more than just a tour, it was a journey rooted in purpose, culture and impact.
As a proud daughter of the Central Region, it meant so much to share this experience with queens who are just as passionate about protecting our planet.

We were graciously hosted by Ridge Royal Hotel @ridgeroyalhotel_ in Cape Coast, where we found rest and sisterhood and later by Coconut Grove Beach Resort @coconut_grove_beach_resort_elm in Elmina for our lunch a beautiful and powerful moment that marked the beginning of something greater.

We also made a stop at Asaase Radio for a media tour, where we spoke about our environmental projects and why the Central Region was chosen for this special leg of our mission.

A visit to the historic Elmina Castle (Elkins Castle) brought everything full circle, reminding us of the strength of our roots, the importance of remembering our past and the power we hold as women advocating for a better future.

From the rich history and natural beauty of the coast to the heartfelt conversations we shared, this experience reminded me of the power of unity, advocacy and returning home with purpose.

Thank you so much to our amazing sponsors for making this trip successful:

A Fante Queen in Asante Royalty👸
I had the profound honor of being dressed in the elegance and symbolism of Asante tradition, not just in fabric, but in identity, history
and pride.

And it wasn’t just anyone who dressed me, it was the revered hands of a true Ghanaian Queen Mother.
As my Earth Queen sisters from around the world looked on, tradition embraced us all.
Royalty knows no borders. Culture speaks to every soul.
