Luke won’t die a grey white belt guys 🤣 We got to promote him to solid grey yesterday at 10 round Tuesday, after 6yrs at grey/white! In NoGi because he’s that NoGi guy lol. He’s been putting in the work this year, even though his focus is tackle football, and helps out a lot with the little kids and preparing the competitors. He actually has a blast when he grapples, so well deserved son, love you so much.

🥋 ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT: @emiliab_bjj

🥇🥇 2X GOLD MEDALIST | 5 MATCHES | 4 SUBMISSIONS @azbjjleague

Emilia stepped onto the mats last weekend and put on an incredible performance! She works extremely hard and helps everyone around her improve.

We’re proud to develop athletes like her, who embrace challenges, trust their training, and never back down from an opportunity to test themselves. Her willingness to step up and compete is exactly the kind of mindset we love seeing in our young athletes.

Proud to have Emilia representing the High Street Team🔥🥋

A year and some change. Still, one of the greatest black belt promotions ever held. Beyond grateful for those involved and the community for showing love.

Thankful for my team, and this ongoing journey 🙏🏽

Yayyyy BLUE!!!!! 💙 Sometimes you have to try the hard things, even when life throws you curveballs. You might just surprise yourself with what you’re capable of. 🥹
It’s been a little over a year since I started jiu-jitsu, and so much has happened in that time. I’ve learned more about life in this short year than I ever expected. Jiu-jitsu has truly changed me for the better. It has challenged me physically, strengthened me mentally, and taught me to keep showing up. Even on the days when life feels heavy. A huge part of this journey has been the community that comes with it. I’ve been blessed with so many incredible people who have encouraged me, challenged me, laughed with me, and stood beside me along the way. Im so grateful for this journey, for the lessons, and for every person who has been a part of it. 🫶🏻💙

Last night was a special one at High Street.

It’s hard to believe we only opened our doors in February. In such a short time, the growth we’ve seen from these kids, both on and off the mats, has been incredible.

Their competition record speaks for itself and is a true reflection of the level of Jiu Jitsu being developed here. But what makes us most proud goes far beyond medals and wins.

We’ve built something special at High Street. The culture. The community. The way these kids support each other. And especially the parents! We are thankful to be around a group of families this supportive and committed to their kids and this team.

Professors Karla, Jay, Michaela, Josh, and Brendan are continually inspired by these young athletes and the work they put in every week.

We’re proud of how far they’ve come in such a short time…The future of High Street Jiu Jitsu is bright.

There are songs that aren't just listened to; they are inhabited. 🎶✨
Every time School by Supertramp plays, something in the air shifts.

It’s like stepping through an invisible threshold: time stands still, the mind enters a state of trance and deep meditation, and suddenly I find myself in a place of happiness and memories I can't quite put into words.

Music is that spiritual vehicle that reconnects us with what truly matters.

That’s why great thinkers all agreed:

Plato: “Music is to the soul what gymnastics is to the body.”
Confucius: “It produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without.”
Nietzsche: “Without music, life would be a mistake.”
And I couldn't agree more.

🎸🎼Music is the only language the heart understands without needing words.
👇 Does this happen to you too? Which song instantly transports you to another place and fills you with peace? Tell me in the comments!
