just checking… will it ever be that way again?

hey guys! It is me Lauren Shilansky. You might be thinking: wow Lauren wasn’t Ruthless last semester? You would be right. And I have procrastinated this! You get a cookie! (Not really but if you really wanted one I would be happy to oblige.)

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to perform in the musical Ruthless! as my Fredlast mainstage! This was absolutely my favorite show I have ever worked on, with a cast that made me laugh at every rehearsal, a production team that never ceased to amaze me, and a directorial team who taught me so much about performance and camp and comedy and so much more. I look back on this show with the utmost joy and pride, and I am so thankful to have had so many wonderful friends and family and peers and mentors share in this incredible work. Shout out to the Pippi song for everything you have provided me.

I was absolutely so blessed to be a part of a masterclass with the insanely talented @thenickadams this past Friday! I am so grateful for the opportunity to learn from such a kind and gifted artist! Plus I’ll take any chance I can to sing some legit soprano repertoire:) And another shoutout to the wonderful @rodneybush for wonderful feedback and performance!

Wow what an experience..

Anytime I've passed by @irishclassical all I've seen is 🎯 on the marquee.
What an honor to have finally performed on that prestigious stage supported by such a great team!
Being a two woman accapella show with a plethora of looping board buttons, accents and characters, @islandermusical has been one of the hardest shows of my career but boy was it ever beautiful and worth it!

Thank you to all who helped make it come to life and all who attended! 🐋

"Skillfully directed and choreographed by Jessica Hillman-McCord, with music and vocal direction by Jay Teamer, and movement coaching by David Lendzian, the story is largely sung and meticulously staged."

"The elegantly economical set by Hyla Stellhorn provides levels and a canopy of lamps; a harrowing scene at sea is amusingly punctuated by one of those lamps. Light by Jayson Clark does a yeoman’s job of shifting locations and tone." Theater Talk - and I'm Anthony Chase

There are only 5 performances remaining for this one-of-a-kind sonic journey, in it's first original production after it's world premiere tour. Don't miss out on the magic.

Once upon a time, there was a railroad line… 🚂🔦🌹🕊️ We are thrilled to announce our teen camp for this summer: HADESTOWN TEEN EDITION!
•
This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.
